Good morning everyone....

A little story to add to the car problems....

So I've been parking in the same spot for the last year just up the road from where I play cards with my buddies every Thursday night. Last night, I parked the car, got out and started walking away from my car when I heard some yelling.. I couldn't make out what the people were yelling about nor did I give a shit cause I don't know anyone from that area other than my bud who lives nearby. So..... I keep walking over to my bud's house... go inside, eat dinner, smoke a fatty... all is good... One of my other friends calls me just as we're finishing up the fatty and asks me to pick him up and bring him over to the house to play cards with us. This all happens within 30 min of me parking my car.. I get back to my car and start to drive away, but the car is super sluggish and is pulling really hard to the right...

SOME ASSHOLE SLASHED BOTH PASSENGER SIDE TIRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like I mean 2" gashes accross my tires and all... puncture holes ... everything!

Needless to say... I'm not too fuckin impressed at all... then... to top it all off... I had to wait a little over 4 hours to get a fuckin tow truck!!!!!! :mad :mad

arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggggghh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Well I'm gonna get the last laugh... I know who did it... and my bud has a fully automatic paintball gun..... nuff said! FUCK EM!!! They're gonna get what's coming to them!:lol

so do you know them or not? :confused

Sorry.. I totally contradicted myself... I only do that when I'm really pissed off..... or when I'm really stoned..;)

So I know where they live... I don't personally know them. I was parked just down the street from their place.. and they have flipped on a couple of my friends in the past over them parking on the grass... Thing is, that's it's perfectly legal to park where we park.. In fact, it's the ONLY legal place to park on the whole street!

So anyway.. hope this clears up the confusion... and...............

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL THE CANADIAN 312ERS AND HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND TO ALL!!!:thumbsup :D :thumbsup

Visit the museum, Munson Williams Procter Institute of Art. Go to the movies at the Uptown Theater, or at the Marquee Ciminas in New Hartford. There are several bars and coffee houses on Genesee street. Visit the Brewery

More 312 car trouble...In Buffalo, I woke up this morning at 530 to start my 16 hour work day. Start my car, turn my lights on...car stales. Repeat..car stales again. Well, it looks like job #1 is cancelled. So I slept till 10am. Called CAA/AAA and got it boosted and the guy tests the alternator...and its fine, but I need a new battery.
We go get a new battery, and this bracket on the old one WILL NOT come off...2 hours later its installed and I had to call off Job#2. So, I didnt have to work at all today but I think I would have rathered than having all these car problems and spending more money :BANG

how was Josh Kelley? I have like one or two of his songs on my iPod that i'm like 50/50 on if that makes sense... some days i love 'em, some days i think it's crap.

i don't know if i necessarily LOVED his music, but he as a person is hilarious. he would talk about how high/drunk he was in between songs, told stupid stories, etc. it was a great act to walk in during because we had, of course, just finished a fat joint before going to our seats.

we really liked him. he was really funny and it was just him and another guy on bass. at one point during his set, he started singing an acoustic version of "my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard" he did like all the verses haha. he also (after spilling a drink with his foot) went into a complete song about how his drink spilled - so he was funny. i really liked him because he was entertaining:cool

I havent watched that episode yet, but I knew Snoop was going to be in it. Speaking of I had a dream....that Snoop was in my home town and eating passionfruit and telling me how great it was, as it was dripping down his chin:lol :312 :312

ladies of the 312...what was the last episode of Weeds that I burned for you?

funny you ask, because last night the 3 of us were just trying to figure out which episode we were on. we do know that we finished season 1, so we put in the disc with season 2 on it, but came across a couple problems. one of the episodes is missing sound, another has sound but it is not in synch with the video (kind of funny but too hard to follow). so, i believe you burned up to season 2 episode 2, but if it's not too annoying, perhaps you could reburn season two for us? :D

Black History Month we would learn about you know like MLKJr and Harriet Tubman and all that... so who is recognized for NGLBTHM?

I swear I'm not trying to be an ass here... but really who is? McGreevy? Ellen Degeneres? Lance Bass? Is it just that i'm not aware of any HISTORICAL gays or lesbians? There are a good amount of present day celebs or public figures that have come out... but I don't really think that's what the month is supposed to bring focus too...

And so now when will National Causasian Month be? National Straight Month? :p

You bring up really valid points. Though, i think everyday/month is 'national straight day' since chrisitianity (which runs this country) is so against 'coming out.' :p I really have no idea who would be 'our' national representative - working hard for legislation in our favoUr. I mean, Rosie is a famous celeb who is on 'our' side - but, that's my issue. Rosie is an activist because she can reach a lot of people via television. I think, we should instead of separating ourselves on days like these, put these efforts toward something bigger - I think it's a ridiculous that a government has any control on Love (mine, especially) because Love has no color (we see that now that Jim Crow has passed) and now, we'll work on Love having no gender (will I ever see the overturning of 'don't ask, don't tell?). In the grand scheme of things, this October 11th, 2006 'national coming out day' will not forward our progress.

i agree.

not to mention... i think the term 'coming out' makes it sound like a decision or a choice, which is exactly the opposite message it should send.

On top of that i love how this country likes to promote equal treatment by singling out groups... i understand having pride in your race or sexuality group? but re-defining groups doesn't really promote understanding and acceptance of them...

there aren't a TON of historic people who actually "came out," because as i'm sure you know it wasn't very easy or supported back then. that doesn't mean there weren't gay people, though! i know if i lived in the 18th century i would have NEVER had the strength to come out - i'd live and die as the only person who knew..it's much easier to hide sexuality than skin color. here are a few historic GLBT people for you - http://www.lambda.org/famous.htm

Thanks! it was kind of just one of those things i was like 'huh, so kids are learning about it in school now... and i don't think i even know that much about it.'

now that i think about it... i did know Socrates... and Oscar Wilde... Tenessee Williams.

Richard the Lionhearted? Really? that one i didn't know... Michaelaneglo? Da Vinci? Actually there's a lot on there i didn't know! I wonder how they research this... especially some of the older ones (Marie Anntoinette???). Figures most of this is left out of main stream history books. But it wouldn't be the first time... awhile ago I saw a very interesting special on Medival (sp?) times and how the archtype of the virgin princess waiting for her prince to come was basically create by the Victorians as a way to keep woman down... in reality the women were the ones protecting the home and working and running the manor while the men were away fighting. interesting tidbit...

why would anyone choose a more difficult lifestyle? :p

there are valid arguments for either side, but i know from my own experience that i didn't make a choice. i knew i was gay my whole life, before i even understood what it meant i knew i was "different" - i don't remember actually deciding at all. if anything, i "chose" to be straight until i was 18 :)

george, you're a young white male (hooray!). so, the fact that you don't think it is a choice is great since all young white males at some point hated blacks and oppressed women...so, perhaps your forward thinking will leak down to your children and they will influence other children - those other children will influence their parents and TA DA! Well, ideally. But, if more young white males thought as you do, we'd already be moving forward and not standing still.

Yeah...that's exactly what I've always said but sometimes I feel like me saying that carries about as much weight as me saying "I know what you mean" to a black guy talking about oppression...ya know?
yeah, but you can still be empathetic to the situation.

I may not be gay, but i've dealt with enough hatred towards homosexuals just in my own family, that i can understand some of the tough parts. My aunt is a lesbian, and my mother insisted for a long time that it was just a fad thing (even though this was her sis and had been living with my 'Uncle Pam' for years). granted my mom's a bitch, but still, it's gotta be hard for your own sis not to accept a) your lifestyle and b) your partner.

It's also been made very clear in my family that my mom would not tolerate any of the children being gay... my brother hypothetically asked her once what she would do if he told her he was gay... she said "well i'd tell you that i think being gay is a choice, and you better choose again." While i am not gay, supposing i had gotten older and realized i was... there's no way my mom could handle it.

I constantly have to 'fight back' against all the negative comments my youngest sis and bro hear from her degrading gays and lesbians and other races... it's tough. they know they shouldn't hate because that's what they learn in school, but have been hearing jokes about it so long they think that like gay or racial jokes are a way for them to be funny... and they don't realize what they are saying is hateful or innappropriate. i have to stop and tell them "uh, well you love aunt deb right? well she's a lesbian... so why would you say such horrible things about homosexuals then?"

While obviously i don't have to deal with any major life struggles over the issue, i think the root of the problem is dealing with hate... and that's something i have had close encounters with.

i love that my sexuality is often coupled with bestiality..."oh you want to marry a woman? next you'll want to marry a goat.." nope..i'm pretty sure women are cool and goats are definitely not

why would anyone choose a more difficult lifestyle? :p

there are valid arguments for either side, but i know from my own experience that i didn't make a choice. i knew i was gay my whole life, before i even understood what it meant i knew i was "different" - i don't remember actually deciding at all. if anything, i "chose" to be straight until i was 18 :)

heather you wouldn't make it to the 312 anyway. traffic lights, tree limbs everything is down. all the surrounding neighborhoods don't have power but the 312 is still lit. it's like the end of the world - it's been thundering and lightening all day, snow is that wet kind of snow that is weighing down all the trees and power lines. :thumbsdow and we just noticed that it is 49 degrees in our apartment AND we can see our breath (we refuse to turn the heat on though) :lol

I was 15 min north of my place last night around 7ish and I was driving through a crazy snow squall... snow, hail... crazy wind... and then by the time I got home (around 11ish) the roads were dry and my folks said they didn't see one single snowflake!:confused
