Stevie is my choice.
If Tim were to guest with the DMB again, I think they could do an amazing Crossfire cover

I would definetly have to go with Trey. I dont think he is the absolutely best guitarist but he fits my style best

Vai would be my second choice behind Gilmour and I'm a little surprised for the hatred there.
And I love how Neil Young didn't even become an option, almost like an automatic forfeit

a lot of people wouldn't put neil high because he may not have the technical skill. but VERY few people play with more emotion than he does

it's ridiculous. i mean, some people don't like the style and whatnot, but to pretend like he's not a phenominal player is idiotic.

I just don't care for Steve Vai at all. Granted, he is amazing, but I would never consider him.

Triple Wide > Digital Buddha > Triple Wide from i think 6-30-06. UM > Bisco > UM.
i've been listening to them for about a month now. i mean, i've gone through periods of listening to them before, but i listen to them alot now.

ummm yeaaahh I am going to have to go ahead and disagree with you there...Vai is a highly skilled player, who worked with the likes of Frank Zappa, Whitesnake, David Lee Roth, Public Image Ltd., etc... His resume speaks for itself. Those are some pretty heavy hitters.
Now, for the style of music that you play, maybe he isn't a good fit, but not to acknowledge Steve Vai's six (and seven) string ability, is musically criminal behavior.
peace and hair grease.

did i ever say Trey was better, or did I ever say SRV wasn't as good. Grow the fuck up, this wasn't a "who's the better guitarist". I like trey much much more although srv is in my top 3 guitarists.

I was only commenting on the "light years" part of your quote, no need for profanity. By the way, are you talking about Stevie Ray Vaughan or Steve Vai?
