my band is planning on playing some DMB for the talent show, and maybe some other fundraisers for our school. Were basically a full band but we need a violinists to sit in with us. Were located in the columbus area so if u play violin and are interested or know somebody who is plz respond much thanx

you should do it without violin - or find another instrument to fill the void. try to mix it up and not just let ie be another cookie-cutter cover.

Add a dijembe, or a banjo.

you can play boyds parts on the electric....use some cool effects it'll sound good. in order to make the solo's sound good you have to make sure you play everything very staccatto how he does most of the time.

Yep....keyboards work, too. But I like the banjo idea :D

we were thiniking of warehouse maybe and the chorus part is a must we could do it on guitar but having the violin would be awesome

If you add a banjo, make sure it is of the cigar-box variety. That always packs 'em in.
What about more percussion? A cabassa, a washboard, a guiro, a vibraslap?

whats that bass instrument that is prettu much a stick attacted to a string attached to a tin drum upside down( not a drum like carters, a drum like somthing that hold water)

i always though it was called a jug bass
