Hey Zach does pay his own way! He works his tail off at our weddings and his photos are great. And he used great strategy getting his Mom addicted so that as soon as we saw the announcement we had no doubt at all about going. For me it is a chance to see them while I can as I know I will work and miss most summer shows...

The boy is doing homework all through the UK, lol! Work study for a week. And I was concerned about Zach missing school but decided the trip to the UK is as rich for learning. I lived in London for two years and Zach and my husband haven't met my family who lives there-my aunt and uncle. My aunt has leukemia and I want them to meet her. Finally, I've got Dave sickness and I've got it bad- we cancelled a 10 day trip to Hawaii to freeze our tails off in the UK, lol! We always have to vacation in the early months of the year as being wedding photographers we work all summer. We got all our UK shows from Ticketmaster, it was so much better an experience than the US shows are, got decent seats.

Very busy with college applications and school. Haven't been working much because I haven't had much time (and it isn't the season :)), but I recently got hooked up with the Allioto family (basically, they control SF) and am now working a bunch of private dinner parties for them and their high class friends.

Anyone know how difficult it'll be to get tix to this show? I'm thinking of flying down from Vancouver, just joined the Warehouse (so don't hold much hope of getting tix that way) but are they likely to sell out fast through Ticketmaster (if that is how they end up releasing them to the public)?

pretty psyched about these shows, i figure since it's about a three hour drive from school, plus i'm abroad now so i missed d+t in santa barbara i'll be going.
what i'm mainly wondering is if anyone is going to find an awesome hotel deal like with vegoose 2005 at the aladdin. that was such a money deal, and someone posted it on here, so i'll be keeping my eyes open and hoping. and of course if i stumble across anything i'll post it.

I was going to make the trip from Buffalo but I dont have any money and i'm saving for this summer. But while looking for flights i went on southwest.com and fooled around with the dates and found one way flights for $89 and $52. Its cheaper to leave on thursday according to their site. But if you want to make a vacation out of it and you stay till tuesday flights are $52 or $89 on sunday. Not sure if this helps you at all, just figured since you are sort of close to me that the prices on flights may be the same or even close.

It would also be my first time in Vegas. I don't have any interest in gambling at all, so it's feasible since I won't blow a ton of cash. The plane and hotel is another story.

Can I tell you how torn I am about these shows. I so want to go, but I am having a hard time justifying the cost for the trip. I live in SoCal, so I can drive to the shows. My wedding anniversary is 5 days after the shows, but my wife HATES Vegas. Plus she will she will be there in the beginning of March for work and I will be there a month later for work.
I saw an earlier post that the ticket cost for both nights is right around $300. After seeing so many Vegosse tickets appear on the boards and go unclaimed, little wary of buying and hoping to sell if I choose not to go.
Maybe I should save my money and hit the Gorge shows and Shoreline instead.

Right now, I would say tickets are going to be hot and hard to find. The month of the show, I would not be surprised to see a flood of tickets hit the boards. See the D&T shows in Vegas and SB as points of reference.
In the end, don't freak if you don't get what you want right away. Be patient. This is a two night stand, in a new/different local. Things happen, need the money, can't make it, friend bailed out on me, bought extra tickets, whatever. Tickets always become available, unless this is a special event Citibank show.

$500 for 4 nights. I have stayed their before but it's been several years. It's an Ok casino and hotel, an older place, but for the price and location you can't beat it. For D&T in October it was like $325 a night for the Aladdin, so $125 a night is much better for me. I thought about the excalibur as well, but decided to go with the good old Tropicana.

If anyone wants to do this weekend in style, I highly recommend The Hotel (at Mandalay Bay). All suites . . . forty inch plasmas in the living room and bedroom . . . 17 inch plasma in the bathroom . . . Tight. Has its own lobby, restaurant, etc., and has an entrance to the casino right behind the sportsbook. Easy trip to MGM via the tram. Stayed there the past two trips to Vegas, and its hard to beat . . .

Stayed there the past two trips to Vegas, and its hard to beat . . .
I was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago and had dinner at Mix in The Hotel. The food was excellent but the view from the 64th floor was amazing.

That may be the deciding factor for myself, if I get a pair per night I could most likely find someone to go. If I fail in this respect, I can not plan a trip without having tickets solidified.
My faith lies in Ticketmaster, Christ I feel like Sysiphus every time I say that.

Don't speak to soon. I heard people giving away their Vegosse and SB Bowl tickets last month. It seems that if your seats are "good enough", good luck trying to sell them at face. Pretty lame if you ask me, but it is the sad truth.
