I'm gonna be in England for 4 months doing a study abroad, and if that's not cool enough, I'll be seeing Dave in Oxford a week before my 21st birthday!

So who else is looking forward to Dave in Oxford??

Should have flown to Manchester;)

Seriously, you'll need to get a train and you should be thinking about booking a ticket now or you will pay a fortune for it. You can get another train from Manchester to Oxford.

I'm driving down from Manchester to Oxford if your interested the next morning. you shjould be able to get a quick train from Oxford to London after the show.

The Oxford tube or the Oxford Express I belive both finish at the Oxford bus station which is very near to the gig, literally about a 5 minute walk if that! For drinks, we could go to Copa, which is opposite the New Theatre, so just in case Dave is around no doubt we will be able to spot him, sound like a plan?

bus drops you off at gloucester green which is literally a 1min walk to the theatre. Just take the Tube or Express to the last stop. Get out and walk toward the taxi stand. Take a right and walk to the street which is George street. Take a left and walk 20sec until you get to the New Theatre. There's tons of pubs/restaurants/cafes right on the street there.

Hey, I'm a student over here in Oxford for the semester. I'll be with a bunch of friends but you guys going to stay at the grapes for long or maybe do a little pub crawl? I'm thinking about hitting the turf and maybe the goat before the show.

I see a bunch of people picked the Copa. The Copa is by far one of the most expensive (and not cool) places in all of Oxford. Pick a pub if you are gonna get some drinks. The Grapes is across the street from New Theatre, the Three Goat Heads is just around the corner, the Kings Arms and the Turf are just down George over on Holywell (the roads change name at every intersection in city centre), then of course the classic CS Lewis/JRR Tolkien pub, Eagle and Child is a five minute walk from the venue if that. I say we pick one of those. Cheers!

i don't think dave is going to be walking around george street to be honest...if anything he'd be around holywell, high street, and cornmarket...there is a back alley behind far from the madding crowd that gets into the venue for performers (i work with the drama group on sound a few weeks ago) and you wouldn't even see him. no use in scouting out there.

anyway, i plan on just hanging at the pubs with some ants and then seeing dave at 8 at the theatre! i'm thinking the grapes at 2...you down? i'll be with another guy, both american...eventually meeting up with a few more pals...hope to see you there.
