Figured I'd start things of by saying that Byggare_Bob is the swedish name for the cartoon character Bob the Builder. It's a long story that started with me wearing a yellow construction helmet at work :hump

Anyway, I go by the name of Totte among friends but americans tend to pronounce that Tooote so I'll stick with Chris (from Christoffer).

So why this story? To save us all some time in CPH not trying to pronounce Byggare_Bob or Totte :D . The more time we get on our hands to drink beer the better :monkey

I'll be there as well. Amazing Vega sold out that fast (faster than Kings College last year!). I've heard people were standing 4 hours in line at the ticket office in central Cph but only the first 2 people got tickets (scalpers who bought 10 each) - fucked up!!
Hope wh announces a second show so all the people who searched in vain get the opportunity agian.

So I gave my friend the ticket to the show tonight when we exchanged X-mas gifts and I must say that I didn't expect him to be that thrilled about it. He's always been complaining about how I don't listen to rap and hip-hop but we could be in for a treat here :)

Jeff, we're probably gonna drive from Gothenburg really early on the 14th if you and your friends wanna come along for the road trip.

Also, spoke to my hotel agent today and the closest thing she had to offer was either the Ibis Crown Hotel or First Hotel. They're both located about a 10 minute walk from the venue. I made reservations at the Crown Hotel cuz that was a little bit cheaper

The hotel has been renovated within the last couple of years and as a result the rooms hold a very high standard where comfort and style has got the pride of place. The hotel is characterized by a kind and personal service. Hotel Selandia has a number of economy rooms with a high standard at a low price. The rooms are equiped with telephone, cabel TV and sound-absorbing vindows. Bath and toilet facilities are located in the hallway and are shared with max. six other rooms on each floor. The hotel sounds good to me plus it's about 1km away from where I'm staying so it's close :D . You're also staying 500 metres from the Hard Rock Café if that's somethign you'd like :rolleyes

I'll be staying at The Royal Crown Hotel which is a member of the Ibis Hotels chain. I estimated it to be roughly 1000 metres from where you guys will be staying.

I'll arrive by car around noon on the 14th and head back in the afternoon on the 15th.

I'm excited! Feels like the Dublin show with seats on the 3rd row is just around the corner!

actually it was a fantastic Northwest Microbrew called Manny's Pale Ale. It is an absolute fantastic beer. I wish I could bring ya a pint but i dunno if it would taste vary good after a few days...

I am not a huge fan of Coors actually... Something about their red bleeding owner ;) I am a Bud or Bud Light Fan myself. Actually its Busch Light ( their bottom of the barrel piss) cheap and good enough for a colllege student.:angel

I'm going to the Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and I'm from Canada; I've tried so hard to get Dave acoustic tickets, this will be my first live acoustic show for him been to about 6 of his shows none since 2002 at Darien Lake; it'd be cool to get together for a few brews, I live about a 20 minute walk from Vega, it is a nice place, prolly max 900 ppl can fit in one of those rooms; it is a pretty sick club as well, peace all nice meeting u

It's called Slots... and it's one of my favourites aswell... but not the regular one - the Slots Classic; it's way better than the regular one for some reason.

Regarding that afterparty thing... the guy who is planning it, has some problems getting feedback from the bar he wanted it to be at, so we are still waiting for the bar and Vega to reply us/him

Yeah the new restrictions are a pain in the ass. It's better that you leave some space in your backpack for Dave merch and souvenirs than bringing some beer :cool

I don't know how many WH tickets were made available - but I heard only of Danish WHmembers who infact got tickets - I haven't heard of any Danes that did not get any tickets through Warehouse.

13th? Me and the Proudest Monkey will arrive around noon in CPH on the 14th as we're driving down from Gothenburg the same day. We'll probably drive back early in the afternoon on the 15th.

We were planning on going down the 13th but Yogi couldn't skip classes and I can't leave with my internship more than those two days :(

Just got back from Dublin the other nights guys and the show was out of this world. Probably the strongest acoustic set I've ever seen and there was plenty of Dave speak (and the occasional noise from Tim :)). We'll be in for a treat in CPH :D

I think Paradiso is the smallest venue at this tour, it holds 1200 people (Vega 1500).
I've seen loads of concerts at Vega. The sound is amazing, the arcitecture is beautiful but the bar is expensive...

I've been to VEGA quite a bit in the year and a half that I've lived here, and I agree with you 100%....amazing sound, fab design, but expensive bar with yucky beer (sorry, but I'm not a Tuborg fan :shrug ). But hey, after a few Tuborgs, the 5th, 6th, 7th...taste ok :D !!

Amen!! As a well-behaved American living in Copenhagen, I'll be happy to kick the arss of any loud-mouth annoying countrymen/women that are there :evil. I don't think we'll have a problem at VEGA (you couldn't preorder Warehouse tix with a USA billing address) but if we do, I am going to open a can of whoop-ass on 'em (quietly, though, so as not to disturb the show). I was at the Hammersmith Apollo show last May and those idiots nearly ruined the show. That ain't gonna happen this time!!!

I don't remember if the restriction was just for US residents or for any North American billing address. I think it was great that they put a restriction on the Warehouse tickets, especially for such a small venue. Gives those of us living in this part of the world a fair chance at getting tickets. There were a lot of americans and unfortunately I was stading in front of a group of americans who started screaming "go' Huskies" in the first song. And I did not wanna listen to that all night long. So I turned around and said "shut the F. up" and they actually did! Very Nice!

Paradiso was awesome!!! I wrote earlier in this thread the capacity of Paradiso was 1100, I was wrong, It's 1800 so Vega is the smallest venue at this tour with 1500. The audience in Amsterdam was really well-behaved compared to some of the other shows.
I'll have 9 friends in wh line.

Oh I forgot to mention and this is important. When you buy the tour poster, you don't get one of those paper tubes to put it in so be sure to bring one of your own. I almost messed up my Dublin one because of the rain after the show...

No apologies for a long post!! I think we're all that excited, too!!! ;) I hope Dave will do what Springsteen did when I saw him do a solo acoustic show: before the first song, he TOLD the audience to be quiet throughout the show and not shout out requests, sing along or anything. Except for the idiot 3 seats down from me who kept saying "amazing!", you could hear a pin drop in that theater. For Wednesday, a sign might be a good backup just in case someone is disrespectful to Dave and the audience.

I won't get home from work in time to meet up before we get in at 6:00, but the after party at VEGA's Ideal Bar is a sure thing! It is open to everyone as far as I know:) . There aren't any seats at VEGA (I've heard that there are some up in the balcony) so Warehousers get in early to steak their claim on part of the floor in front of the stage. I am short so that'll be me up there!!

Sorry! Let me try to explain another way....You asked if Warehouse members get access to the seats first, and I just wanted to let you know that VEGA is a general admission venue. There are no seats...it is standing room only, except for a few seats that may be available on the balcony. I've never been up to the balcony, but my friends have and said that there are usually seats up there but they are not reserved. Yes, the Warehouse members get into VEGA early, but there are no seats for us to get. Hope that makes more sense :) . See you Wednesday!!

It is the same room, but I've been to many concerts at VEGA and have never seen them use seats. My guess is that the photo is for showing how it can be set up with seats for a private function. Local businesses often rent VEGA for meetings and corporate events.
