They sold out Fenway Park two nights last year and then they're only playing one night in Boston this year?
Hahahahahah. I'd be shocked if these dates are even close (other than the Wrigley dates)
Interesting that the person who came up with these things the Superdome is going to get a show.
I also don't think there will be a huge break in the tour this year. I think that was only for Stefan.

Last time they didn't play multiple nights in Boston on a Spring/Summer tour was.....1996.
Though in 2002 they played 2 spring shows in April at the Fleetcenter, and then only one at Mansfield in July.
And Steve, the last time they skipped Chula Vista was 2001.

These aren't the dates. San Diego will not be out. Nor will New York City.

Wow, I didn't even realize that Cricket and NYC aren't on there. There appear to be way too many holes for these to be real dates. Though you'd think if they were fake, there would be more of an effort to include all the sites they usually play.
EDIT: Also, SPAC will be on a Friday and a Saturday, not a Thursday and a Friday.

I agree only to the extent that the Tweeter...I mean World...I mean...whatever that place is in IL is just a crappy venue for any concert. I live here and don't even know what it's called. But 3 days in a row at Gorge? If that's the case then I might as well plan my wine tasting trip around those dates.

But see that's what makes me think that they might have some validity. The whole tour is in no fucking way totally booked yet. It's only January 2nd. So, the missing dates tend to make me believe that SOME of what's above COULD very well be true.
Even SPAC on a Thursday.

Maybe, but we KNOW that the band is in WA on Labor Day Weekend, which makes me think that all the east coast dates at the end are BS, and if those are BS, then they have to be earlier, which makes me doubt the rest of it.

Also, a few other things that I missed that are on Nancies:
1. If they're going to do 4 nights in Chicagoland (2 Alpine, 2 Wrigley), they aren't going to put them in the same week, they'll spread them out.
2. Shows on 7/16, 7/17, 7/18, one day off, then the three gorge shows. Thats 6 shows in one week. No way.

The Wrigley dates by all accounts are true, and I have a hard time believing they're going to skip Alpine, so you're still going to get four shows, just not in the same week. Honeslty, if I were in Chicago, I'd want them to be spread out since the band usually breaks out different songs as the tour progresses.

Cincy to start the year would be fucking stupid. First off, I go there every year b/c I am from Dayton and honestly its not a great venue to kick off a tour. Plus the last three years it has been in August and 120 degrees outside. So I am not sure how much of this list that I agree with. Arizona?? Boston one night?? Not sure about that!!

I saw the real summer dates pass through my office this week, and they are not even close to this. (Wrigley is true of course, and a show at Superdome is in the works, but other than that this is bullshit!)

If these shows DO end up being this close together, you better believe I'm taking like 2 weeks off of work!
I've been going to Alpine since I was 14, and now Wrigley for the first time ever (a show I've dreamed of). ALL of this, of course, the first summer I move away from Chicago. Go figure.
And yes I know it's not likely these shows are so close together, but you never know. They might wanna play in Chicago for a couple days before heading up to Wisconsin. :rolleyes

In 2003, SPAC was a Wed-Thurs in late August.
Yeah it was and it was a great time. Thats the only thing I like about these "real" dates...the fact that the SPAC shows are in August. As many of you may know, the Saratoga Race Course is only open in August and it's a great way to spend the day. In 2003, I went to both SPAC shows, spent the next day betting on horses all day at the Race Course, and then drove to Hartford for the next two shows. It made for a nice 5 days. I know these aren't real, but here's to hoping SPAC gets played in August...

hey, do you think any senior Warehouse Member (from '98-'99) would request me tickets to some venues this summer if I pay them face for the tickets and give them a Mint, unused condition Folsom Field CD autographed by Dave Matthews? The autograph is on the front cover sleeve, the 2 CDs have never been used. I got it autographed by Dave when I met him on June 8th, 2005 in Columbus, Oh.
Its not my only Dave autograph, thats why I have no problem trading it for tickets.
If anyone is interested, PM me.

I personally hope the tour does start late this year. We are taking a 2 week trip to Europe and we are missing DMB in London by 10 DAYS!!:lorraine We leave on June 9th and last year that date was Starlake, hoping not to miss that this year. Last year they played Blossom in August when normally they play it in June, early June. Hoping not to miss that one either.
I don't know how someone can actually get ALL THE SUMMER DATES, I'm sure they're all booked by now, but really...

Yeah 1 night in Boston is a joke. The Tweeter Ctr is always a 2-night stand.

Well, I live on Maui and I did email the band's management asking them if it was possible for DMB to actually play here in Hawaii someday, and their answer went like this - "well, the band would love to play everywhere, but it's just not possible." So that statement just pretty much shattered all of my hopes of DMB coming here someday. But who knows, anything is possible and there is still room for hope I guess.

Yeah, I do remember Fonz saying something about coming to Hawaii in a Q&A with fans, but it was a very weak answer if I remember right. Plus U2 and The Stones played at Aloha Stadium on Oahu, which is I believe just too big of a space for DMB to fill up. Sure many fans from all over the US would come here just to catch DMB in Hawaii but I think if the band was to come here they should start off smaller so they can test out the kind of fan base they have here in the islands. There are other decent sized venues in Hawaii. The Maui Arts and Cultural Center or "MACC" here on Maui has an outdoor Amphitheatre named The A&B Amphitheatre which has a seating capacity of 5,000. On Oahu there are places like the Waikiki Shell which has a capacity of 8,000, or the Neal Blaisdell Arena which has a seating capacity of I think 10,000. I also believe that Hawaii should be higher up on DMB's list of places to play over Europe or down under because we are part of the US, am I not right?

I'm 99.9% sure that East Troy noise laws do not allow shows to be played on Friday nights.
Noise laws from what, it's in the middle of nowhere? Phish has played there on Fridays before. No such thing. I don't know where you get 99.9% from. We all know these dates are garbage. I'm surprised a person takes the time to make them.

ok i know it maybe be a littel late but the last 2 years went this way and i dont really see a change.
East coast shows early in tour like SPAC and west coast later towards the end.
idk if they would do SPAC in august because alot of kids especially college kids like me would be away and plus the last 2 years when they did shows in July and June they had much bigger and better crowds which makes me thing mid june to mid jukly somewhere in there is when they are coming to SPAC.
but i am not gonna make a exact prediction but a educated guess may be what i heard which is the 15th and 16th or the following friday and saturday
but i will be very surprised if he goes back to august for SPAC adn personally would not want to see that happen

Yea i wouldnt go as far as saying exactly the 15th and 16th BUT it is very very very good possibility ethier that weekend or the weekend before on the 9th and 10th because from what i see on the SPAC website they are booked with ballet and classical orchestra most every weekend through july and up to the middle of August. and usually live nation likes to schedule classic rock shows like journey and Tom petty around weekends in mid to late august with big act shows too so i am 95% sure he will be to SPAC in June

i asked this question during tourdate-speculation time on the boards last year: would DMB avoid doing SPAC on june 24/25 weekend because many NY high schools have graduation that weekend?
the answer i got was pretty much... they dont pay attention to details like kids and their education whatnots, they will fill up SPAC regardless. so i dunno about saying SPAC in first leg for that reason that college kids go back to school. but saying SPAC will be first leg because it has always been these past few summers, yeah thats a good judgement.

I think some will end up being true or close to true though. Because if you can get an idea of when the tour is starting and you have a few dates, like the gorge dates, that are pretty much known then you can fill in at least some dates correctly. But you are correct they will not be doing 3 nights in a row at three different places.

I would wager these dates are bad because I would think DMB would play at the new Dicks Sporting Goods Park in Denver, if they were truly coming in July. It's the new soccer stadium that holds 18,000 people... why play indoors during a Colorado summer when you can get just as many people into our newest venue? Doesn't make sense. I'm not trying to be that ass that makes everyone say DMB instead of Dave, but since both Dave and DMB are doing European tours, I just want to make sure you knew what you're talking about.

I will say this about the rumored dates - note that the fla shows are late in the year and anyone who was in Florida in 06 will tell you that there should never be another july or august show in Florida again.

I think he was referring to the ridiculous heat. I remember Tampa being exceptionally hot. It got so bad that Dave had to keep a towel on him so he could wipe off the sweat. I definitly wouldn't mind if DMB came through in June or something.

You would I'm sure but most fans are not like us.... There are many more hardcore fans at those venues then at a normal tour stop and you notice it... Red Rocks was honestly pure insanity... The halloween chant followed by the band playing it was just siiiiick.. I'm getting chills just thinking about it... When it comes to venues, you need to widen your scope. Hershey in 2006 was one of, if not the, best show of the year. However in 2005, it was an abortion.

I can't argue with you because both those places bring out the die hards but every year at Alpine I meet people from all over the US and Canada who come to hear DMB. Alpine has a very diverse crowd and I think the crowd at Alpine would very much appreciate a Halloween once and awhile

Look at Alpine in 2004 and 2006 (forget '05 with Stand Up) even go back to 2003 Alpine has very solid set lists. If you have not been there you need to come to one wekend at Alpine. I still would like to see 2004 be a Live Trax

I went to Alpine in 2003 and 2004.... I would agree that 8-7-04 was a great show.... However, for how much poeple talk this place up it does not compare to Gorge or Red Rocks.... I really do not understand what makes it so great to be honest.
