I searched for this but I couldn't find it. Anyway, tonights the last ever DMB gig (not really). What would be the one song you would want to hear as the closer.

I Would guess Ants. I think it most represents what the band is about. That would be the best way for them to go out with a bang

Well, since Dave has said the last song they ever play will be Ants Marching, and it's the only song that should be played last, it's pretty easy for me.

When they play last stop, they play the reprise. If they play the reprise, the song fizzles out, and makes a horrible closer.

If they don't play the reprise, which is the only way for the song to close, fans would be up in arms. So no, Last Stop would not/could not close the last show (or any show). They could open their last show with LS, sure.

I agree as much as I love the song I think it is best Midset.

But sticking to the topic, I would not want anything other than Ants Marching closing the last show. And I hope that whenever they decide to call it quits I am able to be at that last show. Even though I can't even imagine what it would feel like when they are playing Ants and standing there realizing this is probably the last song I will hear them play like, it would be so bitter sweet. You know that the atmoshpere and the energy would be through the roof, but I definately will be sad when that day does come.

I would hope they don't play Watchtower. It's a cover song and it would take the spot of more deserving DMB original.


Ants Marching would definitely be the most appropriate way to go out.

Ants is a GREAT closer. My favorite
