Sunday Bloody Sunday by U2, I think the band would do a great job on this song. Plus it would be fun to hear.

Cortez the Killer, I want to hear the guys play this song so damn bad.

You should just always go to Bridge School whenever DMB is playing...it's a near-guarantee. I went this year...Neil on it is amazing. :thumbsup

1. Long Black Veil
2. For The Beauty of Wynona / The Maker (either one, although I have already heard Maker twice).

totally agree with cortez the killer - amazing song, though Warren Haynes adds a lot to that when he plays with the band.
However being from Northern Ireland I'm not sure they could do Sunday Bloody Sunday justice, i'm just not sure they would quite contect with the politcal and emotional significance of that song, maybe maybe maybe after dave plays belfast on the 27th but only if he gets to spend a little time in the country and gets a feel for what that song is all about.

just as a reply to one of the earlier ones, Me and Julio would be a great song to cover but not all by itself. Dave and the band could incorperate it into another one of the songs. Just putting it out there

Anything by Sublime would be cool. Stefan plugs some Sublime into his Bass solo's every once in awhile, and it would be a different sound coming from DMB, maybe something like Santeria.....

and Behind Blue Eyes by The Who they could def pull off a nice jam session in the middle part of that song.

I'd personally love to hear these song in encore slots...

2. "Dance to the Music" (Sly and the Family Stone") Full Band

Of course this is wishful thinking, but I think the combination would rock the house down. :)

1. The Downeaster "Alexa" by Billy Joel.
I think it would be perfect for the band. It's powerful, has a violin solo and even allows for some Dave screaming at the end.
2. Fool in the Rain by Led Zeppelin.
I saw D+F play it at MSG so you know Dave is into it even if he had to read the words of a page. Still it would be cool to hear with the band.

I would love it if DMB played Chameleon by Herbie Hancock. Such a funky, tight song. I could see everyone having a killer solo in this song.

Anyone hear the YMDT from 2005 (can't remember the date) where Roi did a small interpolation of Chameleon in the jam. It's my favorite YMDT. (Well it's really the only version of this song I can bring myself to listen to.)

No, but it would be great if DMB would bust out a 14 minute full length Chameleon.
