I have noticed many people are making this same three gig run. :thumbsup
As trains seem to be a very expensive way to do it my wife and I have opted to rent a car. Which will be interesting to say the least. We will pick up the car in Amsterdam the AM of the 8th and head to Offenbach where it will go from there.
Anyone else doing this? How complicated will it be road wise?:confused

My railpass was around $380 for 1st class, 3 country, 5 days. I did not look into renting a car. The rail system is supposed to be awesome! Look forward to meeting up with you guys in Offenbach!

I am planning on going to Brussels from my place in Dublin via air, then taking the train to Amsterdam on Saturday. I heard itis only like €34 for this train trip. Am I mistaken?

I hope you're not 'cause there are many others doing the same that I spoke to in Newcastle and Glasgow.

I'm going to Offenbach, Brussels, and then on to Amsterdam. My train tickets were $200. Not too bad considering everything I'm shelling out coming from california but, it's DAVE thats priceless.....

Lucky people,
Most you guys gonna want to take the Thalys train to or from Brussels to Amsterdam, and if you book early enough on the internet, you'll get good prices.
