Google says song by either Korn, Bruce Springsteen or Van Morrison???

I searched it and a lot of results popped up with a song by someone named Robert John. Who is that?

His name appeared in the Korn link but I don't know any band members names.

He's not a KoRn member...I used to be a fan.

Then again, two of the band members go by the nicknames Munky and Fieldy. Could be them I guess.

I remember there were some people who were going to this show from Pittsburgh, I think. Maybe they were on another board, though.

It seems like people overseas don't share the same urgency to post online after shows like we all do. :p But also, people who are staying in hotels don't have easy access to the internet (especially late at night).

This show was absolutely amazing. It was easily the best I've seen as far as Dave's voice quality and he even avoided long scream/yell parts instead opting for a more quiet drawn out version (in songs like Bartender, DDTW).

He came on and had some Italian scribbled on a piece of paper and tried to read pieces after the first few songs - the Italian crowd obviously loved that. He had some amazing Dave speaks, which were generally focused on the beauty of Italy and some of the cultural issues in the US.

As far as the setlist it was a bit diasppointing (but obvious beforehand) to have another almost identical setlist but Corn Bread is getting way better and even songs I didn't want to hear initially (ODH, Smooth Rider) blew me away. Highlights were The Maker, #41 with Everyday interpolation, Nancies, Two Step, LIOG and Jimi->What will Become of Me. Overall just an unbelievable show and Dave's voice is right on. Plus, Tim was perfect yet again throughout the night.

For those of you wanting to wait to see Dave post-show, we waited outside for 2 hours and when he finally came out he left pretty quickly (although he thanked everyone nicely). I haven't tried before but it may be the way it works in general.

Overall it was an insane show!

What can you tell us about Sad Eyes? You should listen to the solo Bartender from December 06. Because there's speculation that could be what you saw segwayed into DDTW. Which would make since because both songs are in Drop D.

Edit: Go to this post for a download link to the song I was talking about in case you don't have it: http://www.antsmarching.org/forum/showthread.php?p=5712324#post5712324

Hey Everyone,

I'm not sure whether to post this response on this thread or the Sad Eyes thread.

Either way, this part never came off as being a new song because Dave opened the concert in Drop D with Bartender and did a similar jam (basically using an open D) chord. However, the Sad Eyes tease was not like the intro to Bartender from 12-16-06. The strumming was softer although it involved an open D-chord like that version. Lyrics were also different, and more melodic. This is all a faint memory but I only remember thinking it was a beautiful Jam - it sounded great. As far as guitar position, the chords were all open and lower in fret than the rest of DDTW which is towards the 4th fret and relatively closed chords.

I'm sorry that this probably won't help much. As far as speculating if this could be a new song it's hard to tell from all the previous Jam's that have or have not turned into songs in the past. In my mind, it was melodically very different from DDTW and also lyrically so I imagine it could surely be a song on its own. I hope a video or tape shows up of this really soon.

I managed to grab one of the setlists thrown by Monk after the show. Everyday was cut from the encore:
