It's like Drop D.. index finger on A string, 3rd fret. Use Pink on 5th fret and hammered top 3 chords.
So like, strum top 3 with finger on 3rd and hammered on the 5th, the first time.
Hmm.. hard to explain.
Are you talking studio version or like story tellers?

I'm talking D+T storytellers version
yeah i get how to play it but have you ever seen a youtube of dave playing it and how it sounds. I try and it just sounds like i am doing it wrong. So i thought there might be some type of stum pattern that is used to make it sound that way

It is just alternate picking.
Just down-up-down-up-down-up.
And do your best to keep a continued, sustained rhythm.

Here man.
I kinda slowed down the Story Tellers intro. Then did the studio too, just to show difference and such.
[dont mind the singing. :freak nor the PC mic from the dollarama.], just get the chords. up down up down for StoryTellers
