I'm not really picking up the "virtuoso" part of the drumming... no offense.

None taken but I'm guessing you're basing this on hearing only this recording of Two Step. Check out some of the drum solos on Organic EP, might change your mind. I've been playing with him for quite a while and he can do some really crazy stuff. It helps if you're a fan of jazz and odd time stuff. We'll be putting up more recordings from the All Asia show in the next few days, which will be the first recordings with Chris on a double bass pedal too.

Thanks for listening

All Asia - I've played there a few times. Weird atmosphere - the one-drink minimum is a bitch too.

Sounds good.

Listened to the clips on the website. He's a good jazz drummer. Plays some tasty stuff. I do enjoy what he does. Wouldn't use the term "virtuoso" though, as it's just asking for people to slam him. I'm not going to say anything negative, but you will catch flak for using the term "Virtuoso" I believe.

Just as a reference...
Tony Royster, Chambers, Carter, Colaiuta, Bozzio - Virtuosos (at least in my book and to name a few)

Don't think I'm hating. I really dig the stuff and the key and drum work.

I agree with Rushian, virtuoso is quite a leap.

I listened to the clip on here and the clips on the page... I listen to tons of jazz and progrock, but this just doesn't do anything for me. It feels like there is no cohesiveness, like everyone is playing to themselves and there's a lack of awareness as to what everyone else is playing around them. It gets confusing at times.

I'm not saying it's bad, both drummer and keyboard player are talented, but they just sound like they're in their own world at times, not paying attention to what the other is doing. Just my opinion. Don't mean to be an ass about it or anything. :)

hehehe k dont take the "virtuoso" thing so seriously guys, "aspiring virtuoso", better?

Anyways, thanks for listening, we've released some more recordings from the show for free on our website.
check it out at:

I'd recommend Solar and My Favorite Things the most out of the list on that page. Thanks again.

Just wanted to add, I was in a bit of a pissy mood earlier when I posted. I don't want you to think that I think you guys aren't talented, you're quite so. It just feels like it doesn't gel at times. That's all I was trying to say. Didn't mean to come across as a dick or anything. :o
