This threads sole purpose is to let us know what league your in, what song you want to drop and what song you want to add. It comes on a first come first serve basis and can only be approved by your leagues moderator or by John (Minarets#40).

No request will be granted unless requested in this thread.

Also remember, once you drop a song you can never pick it back up!

1. If Big Eyed Fish was played say once in the first five shows but Shotgun was played three times, does the swamp include points? Or is it strictly what ever songs are in your roster at the time you receive points for regardless if you decide to swap it later on?

Answer:

Whatever points Big Eyed Fish earned while it was still your song, you get to keep. Whatever songs Shotgun had before you changed to it do NOT get added to your score. Your score is the total that all of your songs earn while they are your songs. Any points earned by a song while it was not your song will not affect your score.

Also, for the record:

League Say Goodbye and League Last Stop will NOT have any trading done before 7/3 unless you PM me and get it approved first. I will basically only allow trading if there was some problem in the draft - I won't allow trading just because you changed your mind until 7/3.

Why are you guys considering adding new songs into the song selection? Just let the songs that we didn't count on being played or had no idea that existed count as 0 points for everyone. You guys can't seriously want to add what ever songs come our way. It will only make things more complicated.

I'm pretty sure (can't say 100% just yet, but pretty sure) that we'll be able to offer Blue Water as a group D song... Spotlight and YNK weren't on the list at the time of the draft, but we let people who thought of them pick them up, I'd imagine we can probably do the same thing here. It's not like the new songs where everyone finds out they exist at the same time... if anyone would have wanted Blue Water, I'm sure they'd have brought that up.

If you request it before that time but it's not approved until after that time, it still counts, though, so that shouldn't become a problem.

I beg to differ. #27 and FOTR are new as in really new, while Cornbread has been around for months. My request was already approved by my mod, and justly so. Not to mention that two of the league mods already requested it themselves. Cornbread is fair game, as per the posts quoted below

currently stands at 5 points. I'd say that'll almost definitely stand, but it's technically still pending Jantz agreeing that it belongs in Group D. Relative to all the other songs placement, it has every reason to belong there.

I understand where you're coming from... here's my thoughts on the issue:

- the point of the rule is twofold:

1. to make it easy on mods so we don't have to constantly monitor the thread - truth is, if we see it and decide we don't have a problem with it, what's the harm?

2. in case there's some last minute info right before the show that makes it so people know more than their supposed to (like if the setlist or soundcheck leaks, etc) - in cases like that, people would be earning points in a way that's a bit unfair. this rule tries to prevent that. however, in cases where that's clearly not the case, what's the harm?

so, in cases where there's really no harm, the mod of each league can really just decide for their league if they want to allow it. it makes no difference as long as within each league it's done uniformly. once we get to the playoffs everyone starts from scratch, and everyone will be monitored by the same people, so it won't become a problem then either.

- also, I checked and none of the requests that were turned down on account of time ended up making a difference in the score

if you still have an issue with it, that's fine and we can discuss it further. PM me if you'd like. I'm open to discussion.
