wait, you're seeding this here? it's already seeding on bt.etree org AND dreamingtree. why not just grab it from etree where there are already a bunch of seeders (and where i'm seeding at 2500KB/second)?

Hey Scott,

First off, thanks for the tape! I'm excited to listen to it. I can't imagine how tough it might have been getting to tape this show.

I understand where you are coming from. The most efficient distribution would be just one location. But etree doesn't have the staying power for seeds unfortunately. AM.org encourages prolonged seeding though bit torrent sharing education and through rewards/incentives for those that share shows. In addition we can have the ability to distribute torrent peers among users of different trackers as long as the torrents are created correctly. As a result it's the best of all worlds for the community and seeding shows. Doing this ends up being the most efficient distribution while also promoting prolonged seeding, regardless of initial upload location and/or number of upload locations.

Once again, thank you so much from the community for taping and sharing it. (And also thank you for that amazing seed speed!)

This is just more Elitest bullshit.. Ants wants wants to be the "definite source" for everything... Newsflash, that's what DreamingTree.org was until Ants stepped in and setup their own tracker... instead of setting up their own tracker Ants could've pushed traffic towards DreamingTree.

Scott, seed your shows wherever you want.

Just because they are offering a service for free, for its users, it is elitest bullshit??... it's not like they are making money off people downloading from here or forcing people to grab it from here.... Back in the day there was FTP servers and the download server, but that just wasn't practical anymore.. .BT is a good way to spread to the masses so that is what they offer here. I have never even been on any of the other sites you mentioned so I'm glad its right here and regardless of how fast speeds are, I am going to grab it from here.... I can be patient if that is case. You have the choice to get it from where ever you would like, so do so.

Back on topic.. thanks for all you do scott!

Dave continues his excellent new song writing with #27. He again proves he is far from hitting a "dry" spell.

Doesn't "#27" imply that it was written a long time ago? (Prior to #36, #40, #41, etc.)

"#27" does not follow the usual pattern of the "numbered" songs. "#27" is just the name Dave picked for the song. If you hear him during the concert, he states that he has never played this song before.

#27 is even better live with the full band! If you haven't got the first show of the tour yet, get it! I was there, it was incredible!

I've been to a few Dave shows, and this is yet another example of how the casual Dave fan SUCKS. TOO MUCH TALKING. Why exactly do you pay money for a ticket if you're going to talk every second of the show? How about respecting the artist and respecting the music and give them both your attention without being too drunk and being obnoxious? Grow up. Trust me, I live in Atlanta, GA and there are plently of tool bags like that who ruin the show for the rest of us that have to sit around them. Drinking is one thing, but if you can't handle shit, go home - don't ruin Dave for the rest of us.

On a final note - thank you so much to the taper - your efforts for this and many, many previous recordings are greatly appreciated. Please continue to keep up the excellent work!!!!

Not sure how to work through this just yet. But.....What's up all you music lovers. This should be an experience for me. See you all soon. Oh yeah "#27" and "Ee Hee" are quickly becoming my new favorites since I had heard them at the 8-22 Cinci concert. If anyone has tab for these yet, I'd love to see them.:bounce

This recoding has become a must have for me. It is an odd show, but that makes it unique. Also, it is the frist time he performed #27 in public.

I think it was a social and not a concert and therefore it was a party he was hired to do. As I see it, there he was performing in front of a crowd that was mostly interested in talking with each other, not fans! I don't think he enjoyed the scene. That put him in a mood that was very subdued.

At first I thought the recording was poor, because you can here the party-goers (can't call them an audience really) so clearly, even picking up bits of conversation. Then I realized that Dave's vocals are also very very clear. Bottom line: this is one of the best done recordings ever, but the casual atmosphere and chatter gives it a stong bootleg quality. Despite his reservations, Dave pulls out a good performance (in many ways, a great one).

The fact that the taper (Scott Brown) used a really good quality mic (DPA 4023s) and there is a new song in this set, leads me to beleive that this is a must have set. Another one I enjoyed is Amsterdam at the Paradiso. There the audience gave 100% positive feed-back and Dave was in a terrific mood.

Am I right in assuming that 'The Hampton Social' is basically a party for HighSchool preppies?

I would like to add that Where Are You Going is a highlight of the show, the audience seemed to quiet down for that one and it is not a song he always plays. The song doesn't lend itself to a jam session, so it is better in the acoustic D&T context. Generally everything seemed to come together the second half of the set, starting with Loving Wings.

@radiokid311

Why exactly do you pay money for a ticket if you're going to talk every second of the show?

My answer to that is I don't think they did pay for tickets, rather I think it was a private party. Of course the students must have payed for it as a group. Their student fund must have been gigantic. Am I wrong on this score?
