Trouble downloading .torrent files

Any time I click on the link to download a .torrent file it gives me an error screen saying it wasnt able to load the page. I cannot figure what the heck is wrong... someone please help me!

It means your school, work, or ISP has blocked the .torrent extension.

I'm rather new to the whole BT. I think my problem might be similar to this, but wanted to ask to make sure.

When I click a show under the download section, it brings me to a page, but it doesn't seem to load. I get something like this:

vbmenu_register("postmenu_6365439", true);

I can view the other pages of the thread except the first page and I'm guessing that is where I get the torrent file.
