Just picked up this (http://img3.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/pics/products/0/1/7/251017.jpg) humidifier and I really don't know where to put it...Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

Looks like you put it in between the middle 2 strings. The strings will hold it in place where the grooves are in the center of the humidifier.

Shouldn't I be able to close the case with the humidifier in it? I can't. And shouldn't the strings not be stretching when the humidifier is in there?

Also, there are two velcro circles on the back. Not sure what's going on.

It shows a picture of the back of the egg where the velcro is and says, "Hook and loop material easily attaches to plush material inside instrument case." Except the velcro doesn't stick to it. Nor does it have any place to fit even if it did attach. And I don't know what hook and loop material is...

"hook and loop material" is velcro.

i have that one, i only bought it because the stores around had no other kinds at the time.
My case has a little space at the top of the body area, if that makes any sense, where I can stick it in. The velcro should have a peel of back and you can stick one side to the case.
I don't know if it helps much though, because when you close the lid there isn't really much air circulation between the guitar and the lid, so I don't know if the moist air i that little space actually gets inside the guitar. I might just be humidifying one outside corner of my guitar. It definitely won't fit between your strings. If you have a snug fit in your case, you might not be able to use it.
and rereading - your velcro might not have the peel of back - now that I think of it, I can't remember if mine does, and I'm no where near my guitar right now. i do remember that it doesn't really stick very well to the inside of the case.

Yeah the velcro doesn't stick at all in mine. I do have a little corner in the body section where it fits, but it doesn't seem like it will be doing much humidifying there. Regret setting in.

I agree with under the headstock. As long as it is in the case (closed), it will do the job.
