View Full Version : biggest point spread straight up winner in history
Syracuse -36.5 beats Louisville straight up.
previous hi('s) - 1998 Temple -35 vs Va Tech
1993 Iowa St -35 vs Nebraska
but Appy st's win is still probably the biggest upset in history considering there is no line on that game.

After all these years of just the basketball team gettin hyped up, it must be nice for the football players to get some credit. Sucks that it wasn't the biggest upset of the year though...
Stanford +40.5
Biggest upset in college football history against the spread.

Absolutely nuts.
As for syracuse, aren't they one of the worst offensive teams in the nation? Slightly ahead of my school?:cool

You know Andre Brown has a fractured foot after today's game right? That means we're down to our third string running back who, surprisingly, didn't play all that bad today. It's just that we don't have a QB. Daniel Evans has the 2nd most turnovers in the nation.

Yeah I heard about Andre Brown, thats a tough break for you guys. So many injuries for the Pack this year.
It was nice to see the Heels beat those thugs from Miami today though. Now hopefully we can beat the Cocks next week. :thumbsup
I think O'Brien will lead you guys in the right direction, just give it a few years. :thumbsup

ECU and Carolina have been productive, even when they lose(except against WVA)...that's why I fear playing either team. My gf goes to ECU (nursing) and, well, anything is better than losing to UNC.

what is the money line for a +40.5 pt spread?
Was there really no line anywhere on the App St. game? thats crazy too.

Butch Davis is the perfect pornstar name IMO,
there was no line on the Michigan/Appy st game - they don't do lines on DII vs DI games.
as for money lines, if you were in Vegas and went to the window and asked for a money line (on any particular game), they'd probably give you one, but generally speaking, they don't do money lines on games over 11 pts, unless they're in a bowl game.

What was the point spread when UC Davis beat Stanford, it had to be quite high as well.

App St. isn't D2. They're D1. Just FCS instead of FBS.

*door opens*
A: What door is that B?
B: Thats the door to the Pac10 opening up.
A: What? how can that be?
B: well if Cal, UCLA or ASU beats USC and has only 1 other loss in the Pac10 they win the Pac10
A: Wow, who would have thought?
B: Reggie Bush's Booky.
A: say what?

I missed this post before.
UC Davis is also FCS, so they wouldn't have a spread on that one.

nope, sorry.
i can't wait to go. after our thursday night game at home against kentucky (and our destruction of andre woodson's heisman campaign) hopefully we'll be top 10. our fall break starts wednesday, and then im going home with my roommate who lives in chapel hill and we are going to the game saturday. should be great.
i've never been to the stadium before, but we have UNC's AD's tickets, so they should be pretty good.
