Mark it down.
Discuss, debate if you like.
But it's going to happen.

They're my horse, but I'm not sure of it at all. I'm just rooting for great games and long series like every year. And for the Cubs/Yanks to lose.

I didn't say the Sox were guaranteed to win it, I just don't think Cleveland will.

I hope you are right, anyone but the Cubs. But I was at the game this April that was moved from Cleveland to Milwaukee and I had a great time rooting for the Tribe. They are definitely my team this fall.

Don't get mad Yanks fans. You are up against something greater than yourself or your team.
Oh, and Thom, I made this thread before the series started.

I would love to see the Cubs win since the Tigers are out. What history to witness.

What the hell does that even mean? Are you actually predicting they'll make it to the WS and then their pitchers will forget how to field ground balls and throw them to first?

you can thank the playoff format for that

The Indians weren't much of a surprise. They played well below their Pythagorean expectation last year. In 2006 their record was 74-88, but their pythagorean expectation was 89-73.

The Indians are an excellent team. if the sox lose to them in the ALCS i will not be too upset. they have three legitimate top of the rotation pitchers with Sabathia, Carmona and Westbrook. the back of their bullpen has been good with borowski and their offense has a bunch of good hitters. any team will have a hard time with them.

The playoff format is responsible for the White Sox, Tigers and Indians having the best regular season records the in 2005, 2006 and 2007? (Or almost the best in the case of the Tigers)
Do tell how you figure that.

Just got back from the game, AMAZING!!! Fausto pitched a gem, the energy was incredible, and I really think we demoralized the Yanks tonight.
C.C. for the Cy Young And Carmona should be in the top 5 in voting. Trade for Lofton was a GREAT move
p.s. Rafael Bentencourt and Joe Bo havn't even had to pitch yet, things are looking great

Hey it almost happened.
If they (read C.C.) hadn't completely choked against the Red Sox in the last 3 games of the series, they definitely would have beaten the Rockies and won it all.
