Just wondering if anyone has heard if there is going to be a tab book for the Dave and Tim Radio City show like there was for Luther College? I have the CD's and DVD and that would be the last piece in the puzzle.
Thanks,
Jesse

Especially for Dave's part. DMBTabs is your best best.

They are pretty much accurate note-wise, but usually pretty inaccurate for what Dave actually plays as far as finger position. The same goes for Tim's parts. And some of them don't even include what Dave really plays live, which is why DMBTabs is great, the official DMBTabs stuff is done from videos, so you know it's what Dave is really playing. I think most of the do-it-yourself tabbers on that site also go from vids as well.

I wish they did it old skool.

Im glad I went to UMass show. It was amazing.. more energy. Anyone who was there would agree.

speaking of Tim's parts...

Last night I decided to give a go at playing You Are My Sanity...
here's less than a day's experience on this song, but tell me what you think:

Hey I dont mean for my first post to be a request. So ill introduce myself. Hello, I just joined the forums. Im a huge fan of Dave matthews band and also tim reynolds. I was turned to the forums from a freind of mine who is also greatly into dave matthews band and tim reynolds. But any way it was nice meeting you guys and well see ya around. Anywho, does anyone have tims part for gravedigger on the radio city cd. I love his part in that, as always its amazing and id love to learn it. Thanks guys.

If anything, I'd buy the book as a collectors dealie.
The song choice really isn't that great in the light of fan favorites, but the thing is that there are a lot of interview materials (I own the luther college one) that tell you all about the equipment they use, I mean down to the pick ups...

It's interesting to read, and they ARE accurate for the most part, it's just that dave and tim are so dynamic that they'll be sitting somewhere on the tour, trying new things, and they'll change the chords around to be played somewhere else on the guitar just because "it's different" and fresh.
That's why their shows are so amazing, you never hear the same song played the same twice.

So the tab book gives new guitar players a good skeleton to play on, I would say... but for the professional (or just plain good) ... stick to more accurate, ellaborated notes, it'll make you grow even more.

that's all I have to say,... I guess....

Umm, not really. I'm pretty sure Dave doesn't change his rhythm riffs on his songs very much. I'm pretty sure he's playing the same thing for Crash at radio city that he was playing back in 1996 when the song was written.
