View Full Version : will the miami dolphins go 0-16?

with all the talk of the patriot's going 16-0 this season (imo, they won't), i think a lot of people might be overlooking the other side of the table...the miami dolphins.
here is the dolphins remaining schedule:
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/teamSchedule?statsId=15
with an inept offense with no real playmakers (aside from brown) and an aging defense, can the 2007 miami dolphins make history and end the season at 0-16? i know it seems impossible, but if any team has a chance, it's them.

i thought about them. here's their schedule for comparison:
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/teamSchedule?statsId=14
with home games still against the falcons and browns and a road game @ new orleans, i think the rams will pull a couple wins out of their ass. and that offense can still be deadly with a healthy bulger, holt and jackson.

I feel bad for Ronnie Brown being stuck on that team. They're going to be bad for many years.

They are really awful, but I find it hard to believe they can't win a single game. I'm loving it, because my roommate is a diehard Dolphins fan. So the Jets may suck, but the Dolphins suck harder.

10-10-2007, 02:00 PM
I don't think they do just because those last three weeks (vs. Baltimore, @ NE, vs Cincinnati) might be against teams that could already be in the playoffs at the time and will look past and/or rest their starters. Especially New England, unless they are 14-0 at the time.
It's just as hard to go 0-16 as it is to go 16-0. I would love to see it happen though. Hate the Dolphins.

It's more difficult to go winless than undefeated in the NFL in my opinion. It is very difficult to not win one game.

Didn't four or five years ago, the Panthers won their first game and then lost their next 15?
The Dolphins will win one game at least. I have to imagine they will soon put in John Beck, who should win one game. However, if they leave Cleo Lemon in for the rest of the year....

Honestly, I think Ted Ginn's problem is that he legitimately can't read a NFL playbook.
In college all he had to do was play pitch and catch with Troy Smith.

Ya they beat the Vikings week 1 by 24-13. Lost the rest of their games. What's amazing is they improved by 6 games the next year. 6 games! A 4 win team would be a 10 win team the next year.

And I still don't know about picking Ginn over Quinn but at least they'll get a top pick next year. We'll see how the Dolphins still feel about Beck when they have their choice of QB's.
Anyway, Ginn is not slow. You're not supposed to do this in the NFL.

BB has no problem risking his star players in games essentially won and with absolutely no historical significance.

Forget the undefeated part for the moment.
He is lambasting the Patriots for doing something he himself did.
It would be like a priest speaking out against against other priests molesting little boys, when in fact he did the same thing in his past.
Now re-read this: "Hypocrisy is the act of condemning another person for an act of which the critic is guilty."
Hypocrisy is the act of Shula condeming The pats for an act of which the critic (Shula) is guilty.

I honestly don't know how Billick has kept his job this long. His ineptitude at building an offense has wasted the careers of a lot of great defensive players who have busted their asses for years with nothing to show for it.
it's true...but didn't they go 13-3 last year?

didnt then win the Super Bowl in oh... 2000!
oh and he has 3 loosing seasons in the last 9 years.
get over it. in that same sense Bill Cower should have lost his job in 2000.
they both have ONE championship each.

wow the ravens blow
The Dolphins have lost 6 games by 3 points. So they could be 7-7 right now. Are they a good team??? Hell no, but they aren't as bad as their record shows. Besides, the Ravens probably would have beat them if they would have held on to beat the Patriots. Losing they way they did took a lot out of them.
Anyway, go Dolphins!!!!!!!!!!!!11 :bounce :bounce :bounce

I was so tempted to wear my Ricky Williams jersey today, even though I hate the Dolphins with a passion.
I would definitely be shot.

Uhhhh.....the Ravens are abysmal. how the hell they still have a franchise is beyond me. How the f*ck you can go from being 13-3 to a current 4-10 in one year is also beyond me. That game against NE was 100% the weather, not the Ravens rallying to do well. The Ravens only looked good because Tom could not throw more than 30 yards.
Horrible. Just horrible. Still made me laugh that they lost to the fish. :lol oh, Ray Lewis, clearly killing people doesn't help you win.

I never said the Ravens were a good team. I just pointed out that they didn't lose to the worst team in history like most people were saying. They lost to a team (a sucky one, I know) that could easily have 5 or 6 wins. But none of that matters. I just pray for another snow storm like the Patriots dealt with Sunday. Because if the weather is clear, the Dolphins will lose by 50.

I can't beleive the Ravens almost beat my Pats. Any given Sunday, I guess.

As a Dolphins fan, I hate the Pats. But I actually want you guys to go 16-0. I'm tired of hearing about the '72 undefeated team. :BANG
That said, I don't know what I'll do if it's the Cowboys vs The Patriots in the Super Bowl, seeing how I hate both teams.
