I don't own one but I've always really liked the sound of the mid-ranged takamine 12ers

I think I may remember having a conversation about that guitar with you awhile back. If I remember correctly you posted pictures of it??

I'm jealous.

even for that price, I would say you could get a nicer guitar. When you buy one just shop around and play as many as possible. Which ever one stand out to you is prolly the best fit.

thanks for the help, the thing that turned me on about that fender is the built in tuner, my ovation 6 string has one and its the bast feature ever invented. Plus i heard 12s are a bitch when i comes to tuning so the built in one sounded good

one would need to play it. however one never needs to play a fender accoustic to know it sucks. sure they can paint the american flag on it good, but meh.

anyway dont buy a guitar becuase of a built in tuner. just buy a good sounding accoustic electric and plug the damn thing into a tuner. same thing. :thumbsup

only at first, but as long as you have a tuner its all good. not big on fender personally, all ill say about it is play it first and compare the sound and fell to other 12 strings

I'd go for a Taylor 655ce

but then again, that's a couple hundred dollars out of your price range.

and by a couple hundred, I mean a couple thousand.

but if I had a few spare thousand lying around, that's what I'd go with

yeah, but if you're like most people who buy 12-string guitars, you'd feel silly paying so much for something that you get tired of quickly and rarely play.
