I'll agree that the 4 you listed were amazingly talented. Bucky Covington and Kellie Pickler are not anywhere near the talent of this season. Yes they have a career, but thats called good marketing I think. (Although I am biased because I absolutely hate Pickler)

In other words I think it depends on how you calculate talent...If its TOTAL talent or how many very talented contestants you have. This season has 6 extremely talented contestants but that seasons' 4 talents may have a total talent greater than these 6. Make sense?
