It's a singing competition and he's the best singer. If they want someone who is going to be the best pop artist and greatest performer, they should really start saying that it's an overall talent competition and not a singing competition. For overall talent, Archuleta doesn't cut it. For singing, he should win.

When the season started Cook was one of the contestants that I did not like the most.

As each week went on I thought he was better and better and liked the way he conducted himself on the show.

I was rooting for him to win though I did not think he would after last nights show....

Even in the finals he stuck to doing what he wanted to do, and was gracious to little David when it seemed like he might walk away with it.


Overall, glad he won. I agree, going back and just singing your best song of the season in the finals is sill.

Thats the way its been since 2003. He resigned his deal in 2003, and had the rights for the first two years of his three year contract. He then resigned his contract, and has had the rights for the top 2 since then.
