I like to see Brendan O'Brien work with DMB on their new album. He has worked with Springsteen, Incubus on their new one, Trey's solo effort, Train, and Graham Colton Band recently. He has also produce some of the great albums of the last 20 years, STP's Core, Pearl Jam's .Vs and Vitalogy, and RATM's Evil Empire.

I hope Lillywhite was number 2 then, but in bold, italics, and underline.

Rick Rubin!

Man, if he would do with DMB what he did with the chili peppers, I see a Grammy nomination in their future.

EDIT: Wait I take that back... I see another Stand Up in their future.:twak

I'm hoping for Timbaland so he can add some cool techno beats to the mix.

Steve Lillywhite and Daniel Lanois are the two best choices available.

I am not opposed to this idea at all. He's produced the last two Incubus albums. Sick Sad Little World on A Crow Left Of The Murder is one of the most amazing studio recordings I've ever heard.

Hey! Well, its not going to be Brendan O'Brien (or Lillywhite or Scott Litt), but I'd say they made a good choice.

Incubus has always put out amazing albums. Even though their sound has changed a lot, every album is extremely well-written (Brandon Boyd is a genius, Mike Einzinger is a genius), and well-produced (all of them: S.C.I.E.N.C.E., Make Yourself, Morning View, ACLOTM, and Light Grenades.)

Yeah, Ryan would have done well with anything. And he could probably do good with this band too, mostly because of his super-powers when it comes to recognizing a good song. He has all the right, basic songwriter abilities. Like a Neil Young, Springsteen or whatever...

He has long since ruled out all cometition on my list of favorite songwriters/performers.

Oh well....
