Is there anyway for me to become connectable on a campus internet connection? I was able to become connectable fine at home but I wouldn't know how to here.

Some campuses lock down on torrenting, because it's mainly used as a way to spread music illegally. In the case of my University (Baylor) and my friend's (Stanford), Linux is an easy work-around when it comes to torrenting, and from experience, I can get the torrent working. There's only been one case where the torrent hasn't worked on Linux, and that was a Waffles torrent. dreamingtree torrents have worked in all cases, though I've never used an Ants torrent before.

Many campuses restrict inbound and outbound traffic. However, what occurs within the campus nextwork is often fairgame.

Thus, you might want to look for a torrent host within your campus network to take advantage of the free infrastructure.

Another option, chat up a fellow student that works in the computer support group and see if they have informal recommendations.

Best of luck
