According to Matt and Jake, there is a GREAT chance Tim will be in the studio with DMB come recording time (check out the podcast if you haven't heard the breaking news yet).
So, what songs should he play on?

I didnt want Cornbread or Eh hee on the album, but I might feel differently with Timmy.
#27 could become great.
Loving Wings and Shotgun :eek
Tim can make this cd the big 4, maybe.

Ive been thinking and I really wish Dave would pull out the 12-string and make some tunes. This probably doesnt belong here but im venting.

maybe they should throw a banjo on tim and make him play on cornbread

With all honesty. I think I'd love a Tim Reynolds feat. DMB album.

I'd have to say Shotgun or Cornbread based on the Live at Radio City album.

your right bibby what u said should not be here as a matter a fact u aughta kill urself, no one will miss you, and i hope he pulls out a 12 string then 10 seconds before he starts shreding he pics up a razor instead of a pic and slices 11 strings trying to play the G cord, leaving him with one string to play for u.

All of them -- what he adds to studio records is immeasurable. I would look forward to hearing Good Good Time, #27, and Sugar Will.

I'd like to see Tim on Cornbread and SUAD. He could tear those songs!
And I esp. like Too Much with Tim (LiC & LT1). He's the Man!!! Some other songs: DDTW, #41, PNP > Rap, Watchtower, Two Step, LIOG. OMG! This guy is a Genius!!!

NO SUAD... We have a LWS SUAD, which is fantastic...
Tim should be featured on every single song on any instrument he'd like to play. Personally I like him the most on the acoustic guitar, but don't be surprised if he would actually play the violin better than Boyd, or the bass than Fonz.

Let's not denegrate Fonz like that though. I love pretty much every bass line he has ever created.

Every song except Cornbread. Leave that for Danny Barnes.

So do you guys think that because there's a chance he's going to be featured on the album, he'll return to touring as a guest?

Listen to the newest podcast, jake/matt said that two seperate sources said timmy was heading to seattle to work on the new dmb cd.

he should be let loose just like on BTCS.

I would argue that Sugar Will actually would not be complete without a guest guitarist - aka Tim. And I feel strongly that he should solo in the SUAD end jam.

I would argue that Sugar Will, along with the rest of 04, will not and should not be on this new album

Crazy Easy.
But, that's only because I *really* want Crazy Easy to be included on the new album.
I'm prepared for bitter disappointment, though.

it definitly would be much more likely for that to happen. and i wouldn't complain one bit if it does.

Correct.
Butch should not have any part in the making of this album, Tim can take the place of his fills/solos.
And to the person who said bring in Danny Barnes:
why bring in somebody second-rate when you could have Bela Fleck?

i agree with all of that because tim can improve every song they may put on the next album, but particularly loving wings and shotgun, and if they do falling off the roof he could definitely add a lot to that tune as well

If Tim wasnt on them I would say hell no, they need both of these Radio City style.

Holy shit, I hope to God this is true.
I'd say Shotgun, Sugar Will, Cornbread and a few brand new songs would benefit the most from Timmy's genius. But as others have said, he should be on all them :D
All they need now is Bela and we've got ourselves the Big 4 I do believe

He had to be on the LWS who else would be on JTR at the very end? I always assumed it was him as well as Busted Stuff and Ditch.

i know kill the king wasnt very popular but i thought it was kind of fresh. i think tim could add so much to that song, like taking butch out of it and adding some type of heavy guitar. not very dmb i know.....but i think it would sound kind of interesting
