So I have been playing and singing for about 4 or 5 years in my bedroom, and I just started building the courage to record... I know my vocals still need some work, buy please take a listen... I am open to all suggestions.
Thanks!

I would recommend working on your breathing, as it will really help. Not that the singing was bad, pretty good actually.
I would also try and move away from the DMB style, and cover the song instead of duplicating another version.
Also, I would be careful with the intense singing near the end, if you are gonna go there, be sure you can pull it off, didn't really work this time.
All in all, not bad at all.

Thanks for the feedback... My biggest problem is singing and playing guitar at the same time... I have a tough time with sustaining power and playing without screwing up the rhythm... I feel as though I am a significantly better singer without a guitar in my hand, but what fun is that...
I really do appreciate your thoughts... I am going to keep working on it

just keep doing it, practice will help. do you record sitting or standing?
doing breathing practice will help a lot, that way it becomes natural to break right when you sing so you dont have to think about it and can concerntrate on playing.
or become so comfortable with the guitar that its second nature.

Thanks for the advice... I actually met with a vocal coach this afternoon for an assessment... It went well.
I feel like I am really close to being able to sing, but it just hasn't clicked yet...
If anybody else has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!
