This is a fantastic video/version. It really changed my opinion of the song. Wasn't a fan in 04, but now its my second favorite 04 song after Sugar Will.

But I'd still love to see Crazy Easy on the album.
Tim would own these songs. :hump

Record an instrumental version with structured music and solo spots, then improv the lyrics live.

Why did this song disappear?
It's almost not fair to leave something this good on the roadside for dead. I can almost hear the available parts for Tim and Danny Barnes if they wanted to add them into this.

Or Bela.

Or Bela.
No. Barnes is in the studio, not Bela.

Yeah, I got that from the thread in DMBc.
Didn't even know that. Or maybe I forgot about it. When was this confirmed? Probably a while ago.
Thanks for the clarification.

Ah, well then that explains it.
Like I just posted in the other thread, this is still very exciting news.

I don't remember who, but someone on here once commented that Crazy Easy has a very #41 feel to it, and I agree. I would do almost anything to see Crazy Easy, Good Good Time, and Sugar Will get some playing time this summer...I could care less if they are on the album, as long as they come back.
But them being on the album would certainly be nice.

Good version. I've almost forgotten how much the earlier versions were good. I really like how Dave keeps the entire vocal melody in his middle range, which is where he currently sounds the strongest, rather than forcing it.

I dont think we'll need to worry about the studio version though. I cant imagine a combination of Hollywood Bowl n2 with Barnes combined with Radio City with Tim.
That is of course if they werent going to throw Tim on the banjo and duel with Barnes for the track, I doubt it but it would be cool.

I replayed some '04 stuff this morning on my ride in to work. Good Good Time is interesting, but not really anything good. I fail to see what the big deal is.
I liked the Bonaroo version with Tim and Brady, but DMB really slowed that song down too much. I can see why GGT went away.. I never really liked it DMB. To me, it sets up the whole mentality behind Stand Up. Quick songwriting that's just repetitious. A bit of a catchy guitar riff, repeated over and over. It can't believe it didn't make Stand Up.
Hello Again live. That needs to come back in a big way.

Good Good Time is far from repetitious lyrically. Dave has made just as simple guitar riffs into great songs. It's also got a lot of Roi, which is awesome. GGT is my favorite of the 04 tunes...I used to have the same view as you did, but my tastes have changed.
