I figure this is a lost cause, but I've been trying to play So Damn Lucky and I have no idea how to get the riff down perfectly, I know where my fingers need to go, its just this damn hammer on. Anyone got some advice to help cuz I really wanna be able to play the song, it just seems i can't get the rhythm done right.

Try going slower. Then once you get the slower idea down go faster thats how I learned on songs that I have trouble with.

if you can't do the hammer on part, then isolate it and practice with a metronome, just google metronome for one to use

Ease it up. It may sound dull but practice at slower tempo pretty much does the trick. Really cool riff! It's worth every minute of practice.

I too had a really hard time learning this riff. I practiced it a ton, and it finally just happened. Practice makes perfect. Just keep at it. You will get it. :thumbsup :cool

good point. If you have this attitude in everything you do in life, you will be very sucessful. People who think too much on the way to be good is to know people who are good who can teach you, or to be really naturally skilled or some crap are wrong. Anyone who is any good is good because they practiced their asses off. work hard at something and you will do well
