I think we know most of the riffs for the new songs

In light of hearing a 1995 version of Raven bundled with a Typical Situation (a good five years before it debuted on tour) +

Then recently I heard a version of a 2000 Grey Street with alternative lyrics (Jimmy's been a bad boy again...) where at the end Dave noodles BYAH +

Just listening to a 2003 D+F show where at the end of Too High Dave repeats the phrase "Round and Round We Go Round and Round..." in the same pattern and timing as his little ditty "Round and Round" from the November shows...

My point is I think we have heard a lot of things that are going to make up a majority of the album, we just dont know it yet...

so that being said I vote for "Gas into a fire" to make a comeback...

Can anyone else think of any other examples of this?

i think its cool when he uses old riffs. it owuld be one thing to just record a song like granny, thats boring. but for him to remember a riff he did back in the day then make it a song is pretty cool.

You know, strange as it sounds, I wouldn't be surprised to hear this happen -- they've got enough stuff they could record in studio and make a fairly decent album.

John Mayer's current radio single is a cover -- why can't DMB go the same way?

Um...as good as that track list is, I'd rather have no new DMB material at all than have them spend studio time recording 10+ covers. That's just me.
