Hey everyone,
I've been playing guitar for about 5 years now. I play in a band, but the direction of the band is a little off track from what music I indulge myself in. So basically, I need help finding some type of machine (whether one exists I dunno) that will help me create much of my own music. More specifically, one that would allow me to plug a guitar into such machine, play a a riff or line, record it, loop it, and then maybe just solo over that while recording? And perhaps it could produce drum beats for accompanying the guitar?

Basically what I want to be able to do is, at the very least, make a simple beat, loop it, lay down a 12 bar blues riff or something simple in nature, loop it, then solo or play lead fills on top of that ( and record) Is such a device possible? Or what combination of machines would make this possible?

I'm going to buy this one

Boss RC-20XL Loop Station
With the Boss RC-20XL Loop Station loops and riffs can be stacked repeatedly until the entire massive 16 minutes of recording space is full. Never...
Price: $249.00

I hear the one that is 170 or whatever is way too difficult to use (being that it only has one pedal). I've seen it used before, and it looks great. I'm going to buy mine by the end of the month, so if your willing to wait, I'll let you know

Will a loop station have drum beat samples or will it just loop my guitar?

depends on the loop station, im sure some might. however, you should probably just get a drum machine like a midi keyboard and plug it and your guitar into the loop station.
