tim reynolds blew butch taylor away as the newest 'member' of the band- nothing personal, but some rock n' roll guitar chords added to the mix goes a long way. dave's dancing was also something quite entertaining and unexpected...

I downloaded both tapes... I thought this tape was much better than the other, although they were both good... It sounds very clear, You can hear the instruments very clearly, and there isnt too much bass to drown out the sound... you have to turn it up a little, but in my opinion this is close to cd quality when you do, the only flaw is that dave will sometimes sound echoed or quiet, but thats how he sounds at the show sometimes, so, it is like listening to it at the show again (i was there)... hope this helps others, i recommend downloading this tape :thumbsup

it's all about location and mics.

i only boost the volume level in post and even then it is limited by the highest point. (ie, if i raised it so you didn't have to turn the stereo up at all, at some point this particular recording would clip and sound yucky there).

i used the hypercardiod caps on this night cause we were a little farther from the stack... they have a different recording field. not a bad tape, i must say. :)
