I enjoyed the SPAC show so much that I finally took the time to learn how to download a torrent. (Pretty easy). I downloaded Flac Frontend and couldn't get it going so I downloaded Foo-something and that plays the flac files nicely. Now I'm trying to make a couple of cd's for my car. I them d/l Traders Little Secret to convert to .wav (no problem). Burned the .wav files because that's what I thought I needed and also converted to MP3 (with Shuang something) and burned another cd in case the wav files didn't play in the car. Well dammit nothings working!!!! Neither file type will play in my car.

I check one of the old shows I have from a bnp and the file type is .cda (which plays in my car fine).

PLEASE HELP!!! Should the wav files work and I just made some mistake?

PS Wav cd and MP3 cd both play fine on my computer.

:BANG :BANG :BANG

Thank you anyone!

Ok Well thanks to some in Ants+ I figured out my problem but now I have a new one :o

I burned the cd with ITunes and I have gaps between each song which bugs me, so I did some research into my bnp days and recalled EAC but I can't figure out how to get it to pull in the songs to burn.

Help!!

I don't know if Itunes has the ability to get rid of that pesky gap. I use Roxio Easy Media Creator and it works great. As for Itunes someone else will have to give you and answer for that. Usually if it is supported you have to dig around in the properties file and set it up to get rid of the gap. Let me do some googling and see if I can come up with something.

OK, I found this here. (http://www.macworld.com/article/44374/2005/04/jointracksyou.html)

When playing back tracks in iTunes you can disguise this gap to a degree by switching on the program’s Crossfade Playback feature (found in the Audio tab of iTunes’ Preferences). With Crossfade Playback on, the end of the first track and the beginning of the next overlap and fade from one to the other. Regrettably, there’s very little you can do to fine-tune the effect other than to change the length of the crossfade (basically change the amount of material from each track that intersects and is crossfaded). Unlike with programs such as Roxio’s Jam and Nero’s SoundTrax, you can’t change the shape of the fade in iTunes to make it sound more natural. And iTunes’ crossfade settings don’t transfer to the iPod nor do they work with audio CDs you play from within the program.

Speaking of audio CDs, if you look at the Burning tab of iTunes’ Preferences you’ll see the option to select no gap between tracks when you burn an audio CD. Regrettably, this doesn’t result in pristine transitions from one track to another. For example, if you purchase Brian Wilson’s Smile from the iTunes Music Store (and you should) and then burn it to CD with this “no gap” option selected, you’ll still hear a tiny hiccup between tracks that, on the commercial CD release, blend into each other seamlessly. iTunes simply can not produce a completely seamless transition between discrete tracks. If you want to create an audio CD as close to the Real Thing as possible, you’ll need to import those tracks into another program (Jam, for example) that can create clean crossfades between CD tracks.I would suggest setting the crossfade to zero and burn a CD and listen to it. It sounds as if you may still have a gap, albeit a very short one. It's worth a try though.

Download Winamp. It's free, and it'll play the file format the shows are when you download them.

If you're still having problems downloading read my step by step process. I too get confused with internet downloading and all the file types and what not and these were really easy to figure out.
