Where Are You Going +- This song gets such a bad rap but...(see below)
Crash Into Me- Guess everyone needs a break. Crash is gorgeous as always, but 2 break songs in a row??
Jimi Thing- Pretty low key version. It's jimi and great.
So Damn Lucky- Great, new outro sounded awesome.
Rhyme And Reason- Standard, should put this one away more.
So Much To Say- FCUK
Anyone Seen The Bridge- ME
Too Much- SIDEWAYS
Encore:
Money- Normal and getting old until the Dave and Tim duel began. He sang and Tim would echo it with guitar. AWESOME
Two Step- WOW BEST ENCORE OF THE SUMMER, Great show
>>Ants- HOLY BALLS ARE YOU KIDDING?? WOW BEST ENCORE OF THE SUMMER.
Long story short, ODH sounds great and was a wonderful opener. If you can't enjoy Everyday I feel truly sorry for you. Some weak spots but BOMBING past 11 o clock (as I feared a curfew) with one of the best SMTS-TM's I've heard and into that encore made this a fantastic show.
7.9/10

Here's my review as well... Basically I agree with the OP minus the implied profanities... ;)
Old Dirt Hill - It was very strange to open the show, I'll admit, but I know now it was just to ease us into the show before we get blown out of the water later. This actually felt kind of refreshing to hear...
Everyday - My personal low-light of the show. I usually never try to speculate or care too much about what they play because, well, they're the DMB. But secretively, deep down, this is the one song I hoped they wouldn't play. It might be a lot better if Boyd wouldn't use the wah wah pedal for the solos but they make me cringe. Regardless I still tried to dance and have a good time.
YMDT - Start the show right here and all you haters would agree this could be one of the best shows of the tour without even being there. This was a good version but still not the outro I'd like to hear. Dave still didn't fill-in the blanks very well in this version. What I mean is, when you give an "If..." statement, I would appreciate it if there was a "...Then" to go with it. I'd call it an "IF, THEN" statement. Still don't understand? What I'm trying to say is, I like the versions where he doesn't just say "IF YOU GIVE..." over and over and over. For example there is one version I like where he says "If you give you will RISE UP!" That makes the song feel more complete. Just my two cents. Still a good version.
Eh Hee - I REALLY like what Tim brought to this version. It felt more complete and tighter than other versions I've listened to. I haven't been a big fan but I'm becoming one after tonight.
Grey St. - Do I wish they'd go back to the extra verse and improv lyrics? OF COURSE I DO. That being said, it's still a great song and Roi did some great work on his solo.
Bartender - I knew there was a good chance this would be played but I wasn't getting my hopes up... THEN THEY PLAYED IT! WOO HOO! ALWAYS great to hear and Dave did a little different wailing which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately I couldn't make out too many lyrics. Maybe the tapes will reveal this version was even more outstanding I thought? Roi did a Pennywhistle outro and they did what seemed like a little longer version of "If I Only Had a Brain" toward the end.
Cornbread - This has gotten A LOT better. Tim's solo was sweet and seemed fairly long. Personally I'm not a fan of the lyrics though and what was with the video in the background?? Can someone explain what that was?
***START OF THE BEST DAVESPEAK OF THE YEAR RIGHT HERE***
Before he goes into Out of My Hands, he talks about the monkey that's under the piano that has a big blue penis and large balls. :lol
Out Of My Hands - This also has come a LONG WAY. Listen to this version. It's the best yet, I believe.
BE SURE TO LISTEN TO THE DAVESPEAK right before this starts. He talks about how we should buy the CAN of Hershey's Syrup so it doesn't go extinct. He says something like even though they're messy and your hands get sticky... then he goes into...
Dancing Nancies - and Dave starts the intro while still talking about getting your hands sticky from the hershey's syrup. This was Awesome as usual. Other than the Davespeak before the song and during the intro, I can't remember anything else that stands out. Maybe it was just a blur because of what came next?
TYPICAL SITUATION - This has quickly become easily in my top 5 songs since the 2006 FULL versions. The truncated versions didn't do anything for me. THIS VERSION DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Roi and Rashawn traded solos then Tim took over for the 2nd part of the jam. At first he sounded a little abstract but then it was amazing. THIS WAS ONE OF THE AWESOME HIGHLIGHTS FOR SURE.
Where Are You Going - I'm going to check on my brother who was in a different section. I grabbed him and got him to come up to section B with me since there was an empty seat next to me the whole time...
Crash Into Me - The crowd was into it. Always great to sing the Dixie Chicken outro and Tim adds to it nicely.
Jimi Thing - This is always one of my favorites too. Good version. I can't remember the absolute highlight. It was just solid all-around.
So Damn Lucky - This just keeps getting better. SO much better than Dave and Friends versions. This outro might just be the best yet too. Some nice singing by Dave here.
Rhyme and Reason - Very good version. Long solo by Tim. At this point, BEING CLOSE TO 11:00 PM and knowing the curfew is 11:00... I'm wondering if R & R was going to close the main set... but it didn't...
SMTS - WHAT? There's no way they're going to close with SMTS--> ASTB--> Too Much NOW! It's almost 11:00....are they?
ASTB - THEY ARE!! Stop time version with 2001 and a nice Rashawn solo...
Too Much - Dave's guitar malfunctioned and he started dancing with the guitar on his head! It was absolutely HILARIOUS! :lol
THEY LEAVE THE STAGE AT 11:08!! I was thinking, there's no way there won't be an encore, is there? I was thinking they won't give us Sister--> Thank You two shows in a row will they?
Man was I WAY WAY OFF!
Money - As soon as I heard this I thought, this is pretty good, we'll get Money--> Money (TWIW) for a quick but good way to end the show. WRONG AGAIN! (By the way, the song itself was not a stand out version but I thought Roi was really good on this.)
Two Step!! - I looked at my watch and it was like 11:18 and I'm like NO WAY!! The Tim and Carter jam has gotten better and better. It's UNBEFREAKINGLIEVAMAZING!! (I just made up a new word, run with it.)
Then the UNTHINKABLE HAPPENS! Two Step goes right into...
Ants Marching! - old school snare drum into, no Dave & Tim style tonight. But who CARES! This was an amazing version and they didn't stop playing until 11:40pm!!
When's the latest they ever played until? Does anyone know? This has to be the latest in a town that has a curfew.
So, to sum it all up, DMB gave us 40 EXTRA minutes of great music so they could AFFORD to throw in Everyday and Where Are You Going and have it STILL be one of THE BEST shows of the year. Carter threw like 20 drumsticks into the crowd. You could tell everyone in the band was pumped too! I think they did this because Hershey showed them and their families a good time. Dave talked about how he had to wear a hairnet when he watched the chocolate being made. So YEAH definitely one of the best concerts I've been to. I was center stage in section B row 32 so that helped...
9.5/10 :D

Bro...........you are a loser. That show blew and not admitting as much is akin to sniffing your own butt. Shit venue, shit crowd, shit song order = shit show. Easily one of the worst of the almost 40 I've been to. I could elaborate but its unneccesary.

The venue's only as good as your brain and overall attitude lets it be. I went in there to have a good time, and I had an AWESOME time. You obviously had a bad attitude to start and you let your surroundings get to you... the show was great, sorry you couldn't rise above.

Oh, and I've been to 20+ shows now including 12/1/98, and 1999 shows at the vet which also contained Tim and Bela so I wouldn't try to bring your 40 shows that you've seen since 2000 into the equation. Those were great shows for different reasons but this was also a great show. One of the best encores of all-time, considering the curfew, IMO.

Didn't the show start late due to a really long performance of Rain Delay? I don't think the real time setlist started updating till 8:40ish. Also, C-Ville Night 2 they played till about midnight. Would have went well into midnight it not for trench coat man ruining the encore.

hershey definately used to have a curfew.
but there is no way there is one now. if so though, DMB is gonna have to give up a ton of money in the next few days.
ants ended at 11:41.

Me not so lost......you guys so lost. I always have a good time when I go to these shows...but that doesn't stop me from critiquing and putting it up against others I've been too. The only worse show I've been to was Hershey in either '01 or '02 when they played 10 or so Everyday songs.
Not every show you guys go to is the best show ever. Some of them blow. Its ok to admit it. Last night you had to wait for the 5th song for the show to really get going but theres a tech problem and no guitar for first half of the song.....lame. You had to wait 9 songs before you got anything from the "big 3". SMTS>ASTB>TM is really honestly not that great of a set closer unless the show was already ridiculous. I must admit they tried to make up for all of it in the encore which was fantastic.
The sound in there blows....and you all know it.

So, the general consensus from you, adzack, is that the show was bad. We get that. But honestly, other than WAYG, name one bad song from Nancies onward.
And honestly, other than ODH and maybe OOMH (which I actually like), are the first 8 songs that terrible? I mean, they may not be great, but are they terrible?
My point is this: you have a mediocre start of a setlist that turns into a very nice run of songs from Nancies through the end. Yes, the venue sucks. Yes, the crowd there sucks. But they played well, had fun up there, debuted a ridiculously awesome song, and played the best encore of the tour. Is there really that much to complain about?

Given the number of shows your sig says you've attended, I would say you're suffering from DMB burn out. I have a suggestion for you. Have a life which doesn't allow you to see them more than about once per year. Look forward to that one night every year like the second coming of Jesus. Feel like every time they start a new song, you've just gotten another Christmas present.
To me, it sounds like they put out last night - LOTS of upbeat songs. Had I been there, I would have guessed that Two Step was the last song. But no! One more! 21 songs in all!
While some songs are better than others, none of the songs they played last night suck. And the band NEVER sucks. "Out of My Hands" = Dave on keyboards. To me, that's a giant, "YAY!"
And the problems Dave had with his guitar - the way he handled them - DANCING (be still my beating heart), Tim jams....
You're So Damn Lucky and you don't even know it. It's a shame.

I was in Section A, Row 10 and I have to say that this show is a contender for top show in my books, and I've been to MSG in 01 for James Brown and Halloween, MSG 02 for Halloween and 6/11/01.
There was just something about the set and the way the boys were playing that made it awesome. Two Step was sick. YMDT is epic. It was an incredible show and will rank in my top 5. Not a bad show for #41.
