to be honest, i didnt think any opener was worse than everyday. well, anyway, you get where im going with this. the first hour seemed like it was set to be the worst DMB show i have ever seen.
Old Dirt Hill - unbelieveable. couldnt believe it as it started. it sucked. i cannot stand this song
Everyday - knew this would be played, and to be honest, i would've rather this open than ODH. it was standard
You Might Die Trying - this song does nothing for me. its overrated IMO.
Eh Hee - again, does nothing for me.
at this point, im pretty upset and am wondering what the hell the deal is. anyway...
Grey Street - i think monk gave dave the bartender guitar, becuase he didnt play til about the 2nd verse. they rocked it hard.
Bartender - the bleeding has stopped, this was my first time seeing this song since 2003 so it was very much welcomed. and not hearing butch was something great. its good to see this song has some serious balls again.
Cornbread - 4 for 4 for me this tour. same as scranton, and both camdens.
Out of My Hands - ive never heard this song live, and did want to hear just once to say i have. and i actually liked it. i think the song is somewhat hauntingly beautiful. but then, there are other times where it jsut shouldnt be played at a full band show. i enjoyed it, either way.
dancing nancies - took a break from hearing in 2007, so hearing this again was welcomed. i guess i cant really say its never welcomed because the song is great. it gets a huge rawr from the crowd.
typical situation - woooooooo!!!! so so so glad i got to see this debut for the summer. i could hear this gem at every show. tim and roi of course shined on it. the 7/8s jam is 1 of the best jams they have. the one thing it did lack though was no intro. you know the "she stands, feels a tear from her chin and she wonders"
where are you going - standard, cant stand it.
crash - was hoping for this. i love tims fills, and its just a great great song.
jimi thing - at this point it was 10:15ish, so i figured this then possibly SMTS > TM to close it out. all i can say about this version is wow, even better than camden. it is so great to finally be able to say jimi thing was 1 of the stars of the night again. this song stole the show, easily.
so damn lucky - well, i havent listened to any of the tapes of the new outro, but i heard it tonight, and i like it alot. its a nice little addition and it fits the musical structure pretty good. i always love hearing this tune.
rhyme and reason - i thought with the suck ass opener, theyd close the set with this just because its different. tims solo seemed a bit short, and like i said i figured it was because they were running out of time. (for the longest time year after year, setlists were getting cut short because of hersheys curfew. little did i know how this was gonna turn out) after the song i could have sworn dave waved bye to everyone.
so much to say - but then i hear this start, it was pretty standard, but i mean its SMTS. its such a simple song, but so powerful at the same time.
ASTB > Too Much - not as good as scrantons. roi and rashawn came in a little late from ASTB, and dave popped a string which caused him to fumble a few of the lines. this is a great song to close out sets.

money - probably my favorite of the new covers. i bring up the time again, it was about 11:10 when this song started so i knew at this point they were going all out. but agian, what happened next was absolutely unbelieveable.
Two Step - most people on this site know this is my favorite song, so to finally see it pop up in an encore this year to close out the show was really awesome. i was so into it and so was everybody around me. this beats out scrantons version easily, during tims solo carter smashed away with his drums and it was just a crazy crazy version. it was so loud and the whole place was going nuts. as the song was ending i said to my friend "alright man, you ready?" i turned around, and all the sudden the snare intro begins...
ants marching - are you kidding me? it really really seemed like the night was never gonna end. this song started at about 11:25. this is definately the best encore ive ever seen the band play. every since folsom field came out (and watching the set as it happened) i have always wanted this encore. and like my self in 2001, i bet when people came back a several minutes later and saw ants they were shocked. i know most people here x'd out of the warehouse setlist page only to be stunned 10 minutes later.
overall, this show had disaster written all over it. even with WAYG included, as soon as nancies began, the show took a complete 180. typical situations debut was amazing, and im happy to be apart of it and wish everyone here gets to see it too becuase tim adds so much. (it also wasnt truncated like last year) the band really responded well to the hershey crowd tonight too. it seemed as though the show was never ever gonna end. in between a few songs, dave joked about hershey kisses and even brough out a can of hershey syrup and made a few jokes. he thanked us several times for always treating the band well. and i think most people can vouch for me when i say over the years the band can start off sets great and mess up with subpar songs. tonight, i feel as though they did an outstanding job redeeming themselves. and although ODH sucked as an opener, i apprecate the fact they are doing different stuff this year. every day seems like you dont know whats coming next.
so after 4 for the summer, i rank this 2nd after scranton. with camden N2 and N1 following that.
also from my car, me and my friend heard the soundcheck loud and clear. OSW and too much with some noodling in between.
enjoy, nice work tonight DMB. they really did work their asses off for us. they were out there for 3 hrs and 10 minutes.
