I was sitting in section 103, with a pretty good view of the stage.
Don't Drink the Water--I could tell this was coming as soon as the build up started behind the screen. Great version, great intro, lots of energy. Also a big fan of the screen that raises up, and shows pieces from the music videos.
Old Dirt Hill--I went and got a drink. Over quickly.
So Damn Lucky--one of the highlights of the show for me. Great song, the jam was terrific, and I thoroughly enjoyed the energy that the band put into it.
Dreaming Tree--I was hoping for it, and extremely happy to see it at my 4th show. I flipped out when I heard the riff and Roi came in. Very solid, I think that Tim adds a lot to it.
The Idea of You--I was hoping for Shotgun, but this is always a fun song to hear.
Cornbread--the crowds get into Cornbread. Tim tears it up. Not much more to be said.
You Might Die Trying--YMDT has come a long way since 2005. I really enjoy, and while there are other songs that I might prefer to see, I can't complain with this. Tim and Roi were both on fire.
The Space Between--a real surprise, I had no idea that this was coming, when Roi and Boyd left the stage I was expecting Sister. This was actually one of the high points of the evening. Only Dave playing, with some fills from Carter and Tim is really beautiful.
Sledgehammer--I didn't recognize this, but it seems that a lot of people did. Powerful.
Eh Hee--I enjoyed it, though I was really wishing for some more old material at this point.
Louisiana Bayou--a crowd pleaser. A good jam, and though I would have preferred something else, it was solid.
Out of My Hands--a haunting little song. Some funny Davespeak: "this is actually fake [referring to the piano]. It's actually the cage where I keep my monkey. He has a big orange penis, and two big blue balls."
Everyday--say what you will, but Everyday gets the crowd into it. Love singing it, enjoyable.
Ants Marching--snare intro started straight at the end of Everyday, very excited to finally hear this. Great version, very long Boyd solo at the end (at least it seemed).
Jimi Thing tease--cruel
So Much to Say-->Bridge-->Too Much--fun to hear, crowd pleasers.
Sister--really a beautiful song. I enjoy it, and like Tim's little additions.
PNP-->Rapunzel--Didn't see this coming at all, but very happy to hear it again. Seemed like the jam at the end was rather short, also had a hard time hearing Roi (actually on all of the songs that he played soprano on).
Thank You--Dave went NUTS with the dancing. I don't know if that's how he's been previous times with the songs, but I've never seen him go that crazy. I liked it as the closer.
Rather heavy on new material, but really...I had a fun time, and that's what matters. All of you people who sit and look at words on a screen and criticize need to just deal with it. The band was obviously having a good time (Dave seemed rather playful tonight), and even if I'd rather see Warehouse than YMDT, it's still a fun song to listen to. The setlist could have been stronger, but I got to see Dreaming Tree, Ants, So Damn Lucky, Rapunzel. Good time. Hot as hell though.
