View Full Version : Shows don't stay in my uTorrent App

Question.

Each time I download a show I let it seed a while and call it good. My ratio is 1.14 so I'm not worried about that. I have been adding the torrent folders to my Foobar2000 application to convert them to playable files.

I've noticed that after doing this and closing the uTorrent application, those shows never reappear the next time I open uTorrent. Is this normal? Does the process of pulling the torrent files into Foobar break something that prevents the shows from being in my uTorrent? It's not a big deal. I am just letting the shows seed until I have 1:1 before moving them into Foobar, but I'd still like to seed the shows I've already downloaded for others. Is there anything I can do?

To add to this question, I just started DLing my very first show via torrent. (Not bad for a 30 y.o. guy who used to trade more than sleep). I read the FAQs, and I am just a bit stunned that all I have to do after I complete the DL is leave the uTorrent window open. Is it that easy, and will it go away after I decode the files in flacFrontend? I totally understand the concept, but will it make it easier for others to get the show just by leaving the window open? And the ratio will improve to 1:1 after someone else gets the show?

Utorrent runs in the back round so yes, you will continue to seed as long as you don't exit the program. As for the first poster, I don't have an answer. I use winamp. I convert the files to .wav with it and store the decoded .wav files in their own folder. This doesn't change anything, the .flac remains a .flac and you continue to seed as normal.

I just checked the folder where my torrent files get downloaded to and I think I solved the mystery. The whole folder is empty where I expected all of my downloaded shows' torrent files to be. This has to be why they don't show up in my uTorrent app. I must be deleting them during the conversion process. Thanks for the tip.
