Since there isn't a review for this show, lets give it a shot. I sat 7th row on the main floor in front of Boyd. Pretty good seats! I may not touch on them all, so you'll have to assume I don't have the best memory or that they were standard fare.

DT - The show started off pretty slow here. I enjoy this song and this version was not an exception. Good version for sure. The crowd responded favorably as they took the stage obviously, but you got the feeling that midway through the song the crowd was ready to move on.

YMDT - Dave started singing a little to early to open the song and as a consequence fumbled around the next 30 seconds or so and ran into the chorus. The song does not sound as tight as it has (particularily towards the end of last years tour). Not sure if it is a consequence of no keys or not. They just don't strike the transitions as strong. Crowd enjoyed, but not overly energetic.

Eh Hee - I was hoping this song would evolve a little bit, but it also seems like it was better last year. The band didn't looked particularily enthused to play it, but that could have been a result of lack of energy from the crowd. Dave started to make references to such. "We'll find something for ya". "Let's see if ya like this one". Comments like that thrown in by Dave through the first 6 songs or so.

Cornbread - Hate to be a nitpick, but they are just not as tight on Cornbread as I have seen them. That goes for Mile High as well. The transition from end of the 3rd verse into the 4th (The soul's inside) seemed to be off. I have heard it pop seamlessly before as it should, and its seems like they don't have that clicking right now.

SW - Love the song, obvious that they aren't completely together on this one though. It feels like Tim could pick them up some on this song for it to stand out. Dave broke into his gay walk and posturing moves that gets a few laughs. Perhaps more if we weren't in Nebraska.

DIDO - Great song live for obvious reasons. In Omaha just ok. I have a feeling that this song will get stronger as the tour gets further along.

Sledgehammer - Woke most of the crowd up. Everyone was familiar and seemed to be feeling it. You could tell the band enjoy's this cover. Would love to see Exodus, Hey Hey My My, or Watchtower in its place. It does get the crowd going however. BTW Dave does sing this song very well.

AM - Those who weren't awake with Sledgehammer woke up for Ants. This is where the show started to take a turn energy wise IMO. Good version with Boyd doing his thing. Tim gave him some props (knuckle touch cool thing). I read his lips too. He said "See man you are still a part of this band". I think Boyd just said "Word" graciously.

OOMH - I like this song, but am thinking that it may be better placed at a D&T show. To cart out the piano for us to watch Dave play something that nearly anyone could learn to play in 10 minutes seems odd. Its a bit of a buzzkill following Ants too. Lyrically nice, but lacks a lot musically IMO. Dave does emit some emotion the last part of the song, just not enough to warrant playing it. Shelve it and save on lugging the piano around.

SDL - Absolutely the highlight of the show for me. You wouldn't think SDL could be a highlight, but I am telling you they are slammin' on this song right now. The outro with Tim featured prominently is really special. Not gonna hurt my feelings one bit if this starts to get the played in the rotation as regularly as Cornbread. Loved it. Before you slam SDL give it another listen (at Mile High or Omaha).

DN - Could I have been....Lost somewhere in O-ma-ha. Crowd got giddy and giggled. Standard fare beyond that.

#41 - Can never complain about this song getting played. Coffin has his regular solid solo featured, but the band really is tight throughout this song.

Crash - Louds screams and wet panties all around.

SMTS - Solid.

ASTB - Very nice. Stefan and Tim in sync.

Too Much - High energy as always. Nothing out of the ordinary.

LB - You see the electric come out and know its going to be Bayou, but wish it was WYA. This song needs a lift. I noticed people heading for the exits at this point. They do not transition as good as they used to in this song. Tim needs to step up like Randolph does when he guests on the song. However the last 3 minutes of the song make the first 3 worth listening to. They do bring it at the end.

Sister - Ok.

GD - A much better option to go full band. A song that deserves the layers. Really enjoyed it.

Stay - Festive as you might imagine. Carter threw probably 15-20 sticks.

Overall I would give the show 3 1/2 out of 5. This band says it feeds off of the energy of the crowd, and that was obvious the first half of the show. They started off low key and the crowd seemed to be waiting on something very familiar. Perhaps if Carter wore a Cornhuskers jersey. Have him wear a Lawrence Phillips jersey no less! But joking aside, Sledgehammer and AM seemed to be the breaking point mid-set. Again I cannot emphasize enough how good SDL is becoming. My 2 cents. Peace.

I disagree with most of your review. Crowd was apeshit almost the entire show. DIDO was insane, far beyond just ok. I've been to Star Lake, SPAC, Mile High, and now Omaha this tour. It's somewhere in my top 4 shows.

Its ok to disagree. Maybe from your perspective the crowd was apeshit. From mine the crowd wasn't remotely close to apeshit until midset. Been to obscene amount of shows myself. Mile High is hard to compare obviously, but the crowd in St. Louis blew Omaha away. Chicago not so much. Probably equal. DIDO was great. I just know that it can and most likely will be better later in the summer. Only 2nd time played this tour. What else did you disagree with? Always nice to hear another perspective.

I agree with the OP on the crowd. From where i was they were pretty lackluster until Sledgehammer and Ants rolled out. The exception of course being the drunk people behind me talking WAY too loud about how much they loved ODH. ODH was easily the low point of the show for me. stupid song. And i also felt that the crowd also held the band back for the beginning, too.

And it took me probably 15 seconds to actually figure out that they'd started playing crash because the roar from the crowd was crazy. DIDO was an awesome one to see, especially with how they rocked the hell out of the ending. And i feel lucky to have seen sugar will as well. Interesting that the OP saw the verbal exchange between tim and boyd. I saw the fist pound but was too far away to see what he said. They gave Boyd some good featuring with Ants, DN and i guess Bayou. Hopefully he wasn't feeling left out this tour.

Pretty solid show all around. I sat in the 2nd row section 121 seat 16, figuring i was near 23 rows back from the stage (my sister was main floor row 22 and was right in front of me basically). Very glad to see Sugar Will and DIDO. I would say there was about a 70/30 mix of people who knew most of the music, so when they jumped into the mid-set Ants and then went into playing #41, crash, etc.. it was a great upper for the evening for the 30 percent or so that werent familiar with all the material. Will definitely say that a near 3 hour set was a huge treat. Can't wait for Alpine.
