about all I could have hoped for from a main set.....followed by one of the worst encores of all time. Once my brother and I saw the Bayou electric, we bolted and made it home in under 45 minutes :thumbsup

Honestly though, main set was the best I've seen in 6 years....was hoping to "dethrone" Spac N2, but clearly that shitfest of an encore disqualifies it.

Main set was so incredibly good, i'm too tired/drunk/in a haze right now to go into further detail, but it was fucking awesome (and most of you know that I am highly critical).

Pumped for tomorrow, if it even comes close to rivaling tonight I will go home a happy man. Anytime you can go see DMB in 2008 and only hear 1 song in the main set that you think sucks (Cornbread), that's a good fucking show.

Lover Lay Down was friggin incredible, Water Wine into Two Step? Really? Awesome. SMTS-->ASTB-->Too Much was another highlight. Whoe friggin main set, save Cornbread, holy shit it was good.

Worst review ever.

You didn't like this show's version of Cornbread or the song in general?

Sick show tonight. Coffin was retarded on #41. Jimi was nasty as hell tonight too. Tim tore it to pieces. Nancies and DT make a nice combo as well. So do LLD and DIDO. The main set would have been perfect if Recently was played in front of Water/Wine, but I'm not complaining. The crowd was absolutely fantastic tonight. The band definitely took notice and gave us a special performance. The encore sucked but luckily I didn't stay for bayou and it leaves a lot of open room for tomorrow to be even better.

I would have loved to see Recenty too. Jimi Thing, #41, and Too Much were all amazing as usual! Oh yeah and a great Too Step! So what is up with everyone hating Cornbread? I first heard it last summer and don't really have much of an opinion of it either way

As for the encore, Bayou is pretty typical for Dave. I saw him do it two other times as an encore and would really love to see more variety overall in his setlists from year to year. I am also spoiled from seeing Phish around 20 times. But tonights show was probably my third favorite after 9-18-00 and 12-15-98. Wish i could go tomorrow!

Because they play it alot. If they only played it once every 10 shows it was be the holy grail.

i know the hate for the encore but YMDT was kick ass and i Bayou is fine. If it was billies instead of LB this would be the best show of the year period. I still think it is but i wasn't at any others

my fiance and i did the same thing. i don't remember the last time i've left a show early, but once Monk brought out the electric we decided it was better not to suffer through Bayou. we made it back to the hotel before midnight:)
