First of all I would like to say I wish on was on the field for this show, the fans around me were either braindead or too drunk to function.
One Sweet World - Yeah it gets played a lot, but it's a great opener, especially when you can see the Ohio River and bridges to Indiana from your seat as the sun goes down.
Seek Up- the most emotion I've ever seen live in a Seek Up, and I think this was my 4th Seek Up.
Everyday - I enjoy the song early on and the #36 bit, but there were literally no "Honey Honey's" in my section in the stands, people came to bullshit with each other and not watch the show
Grey Street - Jeff Coffin, standard version
Gravedigger - I figured this would happen at some point during the show and at the beginning of the set was a great place. You could truly see the band was as giddy as school girls have Willie up there with them.
Eh Hee - it was my cousin's first show and this is one of his favorite songs. I happen to enjoy it and I'm glad Dave is back on the acoustic.
Cornbread - standard '08 version, the crowd loved every second of it.
Burning Down The House - whoa, talk about out of left field (no pun intended). All I have to say is this was flawless and Rashawn's vocals make this song.
Sleep to Dream Her - Dave said this song was about Charlie Chaplin, it sent a lot of people to the bathroom but I happened to enjoy it.
Two Step - Carter Beauford on the drums! Great Tim solo
Out of My Hands - Dave said "This is the box I keep my dead monkey in" when they rolled out the piano. I enjoy Carter's drumming on this song and Tim's fills but a Two Step Sandwich of crowd killers you think would be hard to recover from.
#41 - Dave's voice was a little shot, Tim and Jeff stole the show on this version as usual.
You Might Die Trying - the best version I've personally seen live of this song.
Sledgehammer - this woke the 50 year old zombies up and they proceeded to slur every drunken word.
Dancing Nancies - I couldn't hear the intro because some drunk girls decided to talk about waxing their cooches with duct tape, I shit you not. One of my favorites and the boys were really into it, nice Boyd solo as well.
ASTB - knew it was going into a Too Much fake of some sort
Ants Marching - the crowd loved it and who can't enjoy this song live? The band was obviously enjoying this version.
PNP > Rapunzel - Another of my cousin's favorite song duos, his face lit up and so did mine
Stay (Wasting Time) - it's back in the encore but so what. I feel sorry for you if you honestly don't enjoy this song live.
Overall this show was a fun one to be at despite the horrible crowd in my area and had some good performances, but I'm still spoiled from both nights of Deer Creek this year. Here's to Riverbend on Tuesday!
