Just returned back to the hotel after N2 at Alpine 2008
So, did anyone else notice the two cops on bicycles riding around the lot both days? :)
I'm 99.9% sure we saw Dave in disguise on the 2nd bike (came to this realization after Dave said he was out there dressed as a bicycle cop). I was trying to strike up a conversation with them both times they rode by (once each day). Both times the first cop was stone cold, riding through the crowd. The 2nd "cop" was chatty.
I dunno, might have been him :bounce
As for the concert. I need to let this soak in for a while. Spoon on N1 then The Stone on night 2.....wow.

As soon as my video's are uploaded, I'll be sure to let you know ;)
I don't know about you, but Dave riding around the parking lot dressed like one of the Village People is pretty significant in my book.

Sorry to piss on your parade. I'm starting to remember why out of all the forums I'm on, this account has the lowest post count.
So, just to play along:
Band sounded great, setlist was awesome, crowd was really into it. Leaving the lot took about 35 minutes.
Happy now? :freak

you must have given someone head to get outta the lot in 35 minutes. It's ridiculous how terrible the Alpine lots are... but it's cool we just fired up our grill again and played "Go Cubs Go"

Awesome show! Well worth the drive from the Twin Cities.
Speaking of parking... saw a couple guys fighting on the way out. One of them said, "You think you can just cut in front of me with your fancy-@$$ car?"
Then the punches started flying.
They need a much better system of getting people in and out of there. The highschool kids with neon vests and flashlights just doesn't cut it.

Usuallly we camp out for the long wait to leave. This was the first year we parked in yellow both nights. On the other side of the trees is the driveway for the "reserved" parking area. We were very close to the cross over path from yellow to this driveway. Once you make it over there, you are out the door ASAP since that "group" seams to have priority when leaving.
The best place to park if you want to leave fast is the front few rows of Green. Yes it's a hike to the show, but it has its own road leading out of the place so no bottleneck. The few times I've parked in the front section of green we were rolling as soon as we fired up the car.
Then again, you could always leave before the encore....:freak
If you want to see a cluster f--- when it comes to traffic, stop over by my house after a Packer game. I live a few blocks from Lambeau Field.... It's 100 times worse when the Bears are in town :)

funny you say that about the Packers/Bears.. I was there last year and got lost in some neighborhoods around the field.
