This was my third DMB show, after seeing the boys in Dallas in '06 and '07, and this was probably the most energetic of the three. Seek Up > Nancies > Warehouse was an unreal start, which got us all going pretty good. Burning Down The House and Cornbread kept the energy up, and with Dave's story about a camp counselor during the intro to Old Dirt Hill, everyone got a chance to take a breather. Then, the tempo went right back up with Eh Hee and You Might Die Trying. Crash brought the corwd back down to reality and So Damn Lucky looked to do the same, until the 3-4 outro jam really got everyone going. #41 then did what #41 does, and everyone excited, especially after Tim layed down a great solo and Jeff Coffin and Rashawn got into their groove. The band looked lie they might go into Everyday, especially with all of us chanting, but instead went directly into Stay. Gravedigger slowed it down, but then Anyone Seen The Bridge? helped to get us excited again. Especially amazing during ASTB was the fact that Dave and Carter kept going on different counts, which made for some amuzing body movements from Dave. Halloween was amazing and whipped the crowd into a frenzy, and then Bayou into Ants capped off what seemed like an absurdly long set, even though it only ended up being about 16 songs long.
The encore of Sledgehammer was fantastic, especially since most people didn't think that we would get it after already hearing Burning Down The House, anticpating Thank You to be in the encore to make the obligatory second cover. Two Step to end it was amazing, with Tim laying down some great stuff, followed by Carter going insane on the drums.
All in all, it was an amazing show, with the ballpark being a great venue. The sun was setting just as DMB went on, and dancing to Dave in the moonlight was phenomenal. My personal favorite for the shows I have been to.
