Hi all,

DMB made me pick up the guitar ten years ago. Since then I have written and been in a few bands.

I am starting a new project and am wondering what the community thinks of my newer stuff. quality isn't the best (i did this all at home) but I'd like to hear some honest and constructive feedback.

thanks for your time!

btw i dig it, Im not sure how to put it but it feels like a cross between Coldplay, Phantom Planet and just a litte bit of something else. although that could be the drum machine speaking.

I like Not Impressed a lot. I was playing guitar in my head to it, which is probably the best compliment i could give.

I like it but it sounds very similar to "We Used to Vacation" by Cold War Kids. For those that don't know how it sounds it is here-

Very good stuff. Not the most original, but keep it up.

thanks! I am using a S27 for the guitars and a 58 for the vocals. As you can probably hear I am using a drum machine for the drums and direct in for the bass...all eq'd etc. etc.

Thanks for the feedback...I personally think that stuff is original but it's my stuff so it's not like I'm partial or anything!

I haven't heard a lot of comments on the rest of the songs, only 'Not Impressed'....keep the notes coming.

Not bad, dude. There's some issues with contrast throughout the songs. Given the genre, the sections of the songs kind of meld together to the point where the most important sections don't necessarily jump out. You have a good voice, and you've got some great ideas and great control. Keep it up, and don't be afraid to humanize that drum machine and allow it to do more.

If ya got time, check out my stuff too. Hehe, I'm a shameless self promoting whore. :)
