Easy Songs For A Beginner

Hey guys, I've had my guitar for almost ten years now and I've finally decided to actually try and play! I'm gettin lessons starting next week, but what would you suggest I start out with on DMB tunes.

Easiest ones to learn?

STJL definately. Chords are a very good way to start learning the guitar and this song has some of the most basic ones in it. Same with Dreaming Tree.

If those are too hard try typical. Its the first song I ever learned.

I started with "#41", with an AM, Bm, Em, D for verses, chorus G, D, Cmaj7,C...works nicely for an acoustic cover and the chords are rather basic...also try Dancing Nancies...very basic bar chords...

first stop the lessons before you start, if you posted here then you prolly have a computer which is all you really need, well that and the will to learn. as far as DMB songs. id say dancing nancies, big eyed fish, and 34(which will seem like a bitch for a lil while but in the long run will be great for your fingering)
