Just broke a string on my Strat and I'm bringing it to the local music store to have my buddy re-string it. What kind of strings should I get? I bought it used so I have no idea what strings were on it beforehand, but I liked them. Either way, what does everyone like on their electric?

Ernie ball's are good, as mentioned above
D'Addarios are good as well

I dont love the custom fender strings. And dont get elixirs for electric.

not enough chunk, you need at least 12s on that bad boy. :D

I love the elixirs, the nano-web tho, not the poly-web

me too, for my acoustic,...I'm curious about the jab on the electrics.

I use Ernie slinky for my Epiphone and Gibson Custom and D'Adarrios for my classical.

I tried the EB in the purple pack (forget the name) but like them so far. I play my acoustics most of the time, and my finger strength is pretty good, and using lighter gauge strings on the electric leads to some bad sounds when playing cords.

I use Elixers with the nanoweb on both acoustics but havn't tried them for my strat. I almost tried them this time, so I am also interested in the negative points of them for electrics.
