one item of note kinda related: in the debate, mccain said earmarks had tripled in the past 3 years. they've actually decreased 30%

Niether voted on the senate's version. So if McCain did not vote for offshore drilling then he must be against it. On the same note since he did not vote against earmarks then he must be for the special interest earmarks. Now the real interesting question is..... How many of those 2,000 plus earmarks went to Alaska?
