View Full Version : Will The Whistler Make A Return At Las Vegas?
As you all know the Whistler was at the MGM Grand Garden arena in 2007 for the Dave Matthews Band shows. Will he reappear in 2009?

He is at a lot of shows.
He almost ruins my great copies of the Deer Creek & Alpine shows in '06.
This person can be heard randomly throughout DC N1 & Alpine N2 very well. Just an idiot if you ask me. I would understand if it were a few times during one song, but you can hear it throughout the entire shows.

I sat right by him (so I've been told that he was "the whistler" and not just a random whistler) at one of the Deer Creek shows this year. It took everything in me to not hit him, but I did tell him he was an asshole.

I had a whistler behind me at Alpine this year. Im not a tolerate person and had a verbal exchange with the idiot. Needless to say he stopped whistling in the middle of songs and just waited till the end, an appropriate time to do whatever you want.

That's a big boy. Only the lungs that move that body could produce such a monstrous whistle.

I don't always recommend solving things so selfishly however in a crowd with this fool... he must be extracted like a cancer.
The show is for the people and this guy is ruining it for the people. People pay to hear the sound produced by the band on the stage. This guy is polluting that same audible spectrum.
Certainly the freedom to "have fun" at a concert, especially a DMB show, is open for all and should never be infringed upon, however this guy isn't giving others that same respect. If the guy refuses to stop when someone asks politely and continues I think there is only one answer.
Pepper spray to the nose right at the end of a giant long whistle. He will no longer be whistling that show and could possibly learn his lesson the "hard way" and decide it's not worth the consequences next show.
Whistle on people, cheer on, and enjoy yourselves! Just don't press down when your stepping on someone elses toes or you might not like the response. :) :twak
