Zach Condon of Beirut all of a sudden made it cool to like the Ukulele again.

Well, for me at least.

ukulele is great in my opinion but unless you live in hawaii i don't think theres much demand for them

the island music here almost always has it but i havent heard any others that have it

its also real easy, might get boring fast

Jake is just dirty, i have a Uke but need to learn some songs. it hangs on my wall as decoration. i was this close to buying one in Hawai'i a real Koa one to actually play with.

How much do they go for over there?

depends on quality, starting prices is 100-200 for the base models. can get into the thousands.

but, thats pretty cheap actually.

i found this Koa classical guitar for 999.99 in Helo(SP?) on the Big Island. it was possibly the most amazing sounding classical guitar i have ever played. i was tempted to max out my credit card.

My sister has one and I taught myself how to play the Shotgun riff with it. I didn't write it down though, and that was months ago. I'm a guitar player.

I think I saw one at Guitar Center for $30. It's tempting to think about getting.
