Me and my Bud

Me and my bud have been playin guitar now for a couple years just kind of learning the basics and just jamming and improving around each other trying to see what each other is made of. We finally built up the courage to play an open mic gig, we did alright not our best, but we were pretty nervous. As time went by we kept playing down at this place and gettin more comfortable with what was going on. The bookie guy finally started to recognize us and asked us to play a paying gig. We did that and did pretty good i was proud of my self. He asked if we wanted to play again of course we said sure well play. Last night was the second paying gig and WOW. We cranked out a monsterous and extremely experiemental set for two acoustic guitars. The bookey actually was enjoying it so much he joined in on quite a few tunes we played which added another laying to our songs. We played quite a few covers and some original tunes that are mainly just intstrumental right now untill we get words. We played an amazing version of #41, im at work right now but when i get home later on tonight ill try and get it up here and let you all check it out and see what you think.

What im trying to say is that i thank think band and this community of music for everything that last night brought me. If it wasnt for this band, last night would not have happened.

Yea man that's actually awesome. I play guitar, nothing serious, and love playing with other people but they're hard to come by since none of my good friends play. Although I'd be extremely nervous as well I'd love to play an open mic gig once in a while, I'm sure it was an amazing experience. Good stuff, my friend.

we recorded some of it last night, we only did two dave covers, #41 and Bartender. the camera cut out early in the set but we managed to get the #41 which was one of the strongest songs of the night so ill try and up that later on tonight so keep checkin back later
